Description: An aigrette in stylized standing form was actually carved from a piece of natural root wood. In beautiful style, the aigrette twisted her neck when standing on a rock which was from another natural wood piece. As a traditional craftsmanship, this unique wood carving was in quite good size and would be an attractive display item in your house. Both sides of on this antique printing woodblock are hand carved with 3 pages of text on each side. The text is a poem about the moon. With the upper sections of each page in Chinese characters and the lower text in Mongolian, this is a rare and interesting artifact of the Qing Dynasty reign.

The woodblock is covered in ink from repeated use but the text is still crisp and clear. Measures 9 inches x 14 inches.

Description: An ancient green jade bracelet was excavated in very good condition. By a yellowish green tint, the bracelet was arch-shaped on the outer surface when the inner rim was flat. Manoeuvred obviously by artificial procedure, the bracelet was not in a strictly shaped round circle on the outer rim but left with unevenly shaped angles on the surface. In provincial jade quality, the jade stone was yet in greasy and warm feel when light incursions were kept within the patina...

Because the Japanese used a minimum of furniture and usually sat on the floor, frequently an arm rest, kyosoku, was used either singly or in pairs. This simple wooden Meiji period arm rest would have been appreciated for both its form and finish. The wood was first burned with hot coals and then scrapped with the result that the softer sections of wood would be carved out more deeply. Description: A beautiful stem bowl was cast by a fine repousse work. Done with nice copper material, the stem bowl was decorated with Buddhist eight auspicious emblems on the outer surface from deliberately rendered chasing and carving techniques. Once was being gilt all over the surface and now had been faded to a darken patina, the religious vessel owned a charming atmosphere of the enduring age. Antique hand carved wooden American eagle figure with gilded gesso finish, supported on a modern faux marble plinth. 19th century. Size: 13.75" overall height (10.25" ht. eagle alone) x 13.5" wide x 6" deep. There is minor flaking to the gilded surface and some chips at the tips of both wings.

A large Tang Changsha bowl from belitung or batu hitam shipwreck, bowl decorate with green and iron brown motif covered with creamy white glaze. Bowl is in good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration, there is some glaze flacking and degradation on the surface. Size: 20.5 cm diameter.
