Description: An ancient green jade bracelet was excavated in very good condition. By a yellowish green tint, the bracelet was arch-shaped on the outer surface when the inner rim was flat. Manoeuvred obviously by artificial procedure, the bracelet was not in a strictly shaped round circle on the outer rim but left with unevenly shaped angles on the surface. In provincial jade quality, the jade stone was yet in greasy and warm feel when light incursions were kept within the patina...

Because the Japanese used a minimum of furniture and usually sat on the floor, frequently an arm rest, kyosoku, was used either singly or in pairs. This simple wooden Meiji period arm rest would have been appreciated for both its form and finish. The wood was first burned with hot coals and then scrapped with the result that the softer sections of wood would be carved out more deeply. Description: A beautiful stem bowl was cast by a fine repousse work. Done with nice copper material, the stem bowl was decorated with Buddhist eight auspicious emblems on the outer surface from deliberately rendered chasing and carving techniques. Once was being gilt all over the surface and now had been faded to a darken patina, the religious vessel owned a charming atmosphere of the enduring age. Antique hand carved wooden American eagle figure with gilded gesso finish, supported on a modern faux marble plinth. 19th century. Size: 13.75" overall height (10.25" ht. eagle alone) x 13.5" wide x 6" deep. There is minor flaking to the gilded surface and some chips at the tips of both wings.

A large Tang Changsha bowl from belitung or batu hitam shipwreck, bowl decorate with green and iron brown motif covered with creamy white glaze. Bowl is in good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration, there is some glaze flacking and degradation on the surface. Size: 20.5 cm diameter.

Description: A silver folding comb was exquisitely decorated on the surface. By excellent chasing skill, a pair of dragon and phoenix were vibrantly rendered among the scrolling cloud. In another side, the surface was in plain form. The whole quality of this piece was very good and was reflected with enduring darken patina. This is a spectacular sterling and green stone necklace and bracelet by Felipe Martinez. His workshop , Piedra Y Plata, opened in 1950, was considered by his peers to be one of the best silver shops in Taxco. His stone setting skills were stellar and the stones he used were always of exceptional quality as exemplified by this set. The necklace measures 15 1/2" end to end, is 1" wide and weighs 140 grams.
