Original pastel on paper by Margarete Schneider-Reichel (Germany, 1891-1944). Signed and titled "Die Liebenden" verso. Also initialed and dated 1924 l.r. Margarete Schneider-Reichel is a very controversial artist who studied with Alfred Kubin and Franz Von Stuck.

This is an extremely well painted **CONTEMPORARY** oil on canvas, 12" by 16" (18" by 22" nicely framed), executed in the style of notable late 19th century painters such as Jean Beraud (1849-1936) or James Tissot (1836-1902), the principal subject an elegantly dressed young mother with her equally elegantly attired daughter, the remainder of the scene filled with horse drawn carriages, and ladies and gentlemen going about their business in a leafy boulevard, perhaps in a grand park in Paris...

Offered in as-is condition, a true restorer special----a framed (18" by 15" oil on canvas, 22 3/4" by 19" as framed) lovely impressionist painting of Notre Dame and trees in Paris, a figure providing a spot of color, signed at lower right and dated there 1912 by listed English artist ROBERT ARTHUR WILSON (1884-1979). On the stretcher is written "Painted by R A Wilson" and "Notre Dame Church in Paris"...

Oil on canvas, 20" by 27 1/2" and 25" by 32 1/2" in gold frame, the subject a glass vase on a tabletop, the vase and surrounding area filled with various flowers including asters and roses of various colors, as well as unidentified blue flowers in background. The work is signed at lower right "G Cocco" (GIUSEPPE COCCO 1879-1963), a listed painter from Naples, Italy. Cocco's signature can occasionally be hard to decipher and as a result he is less known than he should be...

On a piece of old tape affixed to the back is the name "J Bush 9/20" but I suspect this may be unrelated to the artist...

The sharp peak in the background center could be the Matterhorn, in which case we could assume the subject is Zermatt, Switzerland. I'd guess the age of the work as circa 1950's. On the stretcher someone has written "AUSTRIA (TIROL) cca 1950"...

This is a very old antique traditional still life of fruits, garlic, and a sliced melon, oil on old coarse weave canvas, laid on Masonite, 22" by 34 1/2" (25 1/2" by 38" in attractive old framing), apparently unsigned. The painting is of the very old traditional style of old master works of its kind. It would make for a fine accent piece in dining room or extended pantry or kitchen...

A finely painting oil on canvas landscape of a windmill in moonlit landscape, a structure at left with a glowing window, the clouds luminous with the eerie light, and possibly some grazing animals at right, the work apparently UNSIGNED. Oil on wood panel still life painting of ceramic vessels, plate, kettle, and candlestick, all arranged on a tabletop, apparently unsigned, but on the reverse of the panel is a "Royal Exhibition" 1930 label, and there is a James Bourlet shipping label as well. The work measures 20" by 24" (27 1/2" by 31 1/2" framed). This beautifully impressionistic work is likely by a listed artist but I am stymied by the lack of a signature...

This is a copy of the 17th century portrait of Rembrandt's son Titus around 1668. The canvas has been relined and is mounted in its original stretcher. The frame is a old replacement frame. The original portrait of Titus by Rembrandt is in the Lourve. We will try to determine the age of the canvas and more information later.

Twentieth century oil on canvas painting of a young woman, 21 1/2" by 18" (29" by 25" framed), signed at lower right somewhat indecipherably "Cintellys".The difficult to decipher signature is of listed artist ANNE CINTELLYS. I do not see a biography on line, but several paintings, including one of a young woman at a race track, and another of an exotic dancer, have appeared at auction in Germany and France in the past 15 years...

It is in good condition, has been relined long ago, and is 34.2cm H by 23.1cm H. It is in an antique frame with outer dimensions of 47.3cm W by 36.8cm H. Paintings by ribera sell for up to 4.5 Million USD.

By a listed Austrian-born California painter is this large oil on canvas, 34" by 40" (39" by 45" as framed), signed at lower left and dated there "40", the subject the classic, famous, and oft-painted historical Chateau de Chillon of Lord Byron fame, on the shores of Lake Geneva in western Switzerland.
