This note discusses print 76-26, which Daniel Tretiak called "Maki’s little green Leisure Time."

Louis Auguste Mathieu Legrand, French, 1863-1951. Etching printed on May 6th, 1908. 2nd state. Pencil signed and pellet stamped. Plate signed and dated. Large remarque of a beetle in the right corner. Image measures 11 1/8 x 5 1/2 inches. Catalog reference: Arwas 353.

Offered together as a pair are TWO limited edition lithographs on paper, each 28 7/8" by 22 1/2", unframed, by a master artist. One, an image of a rock strewn hillside, is numbered at lower left 38/65; the other image, a sketchy portrait of a man, possibly a self portrait, is numbered 42/50...

Old photo of a seaside Greek temple with Doric columns, 10" by 14" (17" by 20 1/2" in metal framing with mat). I am not a specialist in vintage photography, but this seems to have some age. There is some silvering at lower right. The print might have been created from an old negative with some damage as there are some white spots in the print that are not damage to the print itself----I imagine that this is disturbance on the original negative...

John Taylor Arms 1887-1953 American This is a rare color etching by American artist John Taylor Arms. The title is: Early Morning, North River, created and printed in 1921. This color impression was printed in an edition of only 25 impressions. It was also printed in Black and White in an edition of 100. The image measures 9 1/2X7 1/2 inches. A poster issued in 1968 by the Galerie Bradtke of Luxembourg, to celebrate an exhibition of the works of Spanish modern artist LUIS MOLNE (1907-1970). The poster is issued with a patronage by the Prince of Monaco, Prince Rainier, husband of Grace Kelly. The image features a young girl, the predominant colors blues and brown. I would think this a serigraph rather than lithograph. Condition appears to be excellent (not examined out of frame)...

An original 19th century hand-colored lithograph print, "Tallulah Falls--Georgia", by the noted Currier & Ives firm, unframed, the sheet 10" by 13 3/4". Tallulah Falls is a scenic location in far northeast Georgia's mountains, now a part of Tallulah Gorge State Park. This print retains its rich hand coloring. Most of the condition issues, commonly encountered with old Currier prints, are contained within the margins...

An example of a lithograph print after the famous 1924 painting "Dempsey and Firpo" by the highly important American artist GEORGE BELLOWS (1882-1925). The print is apparently not from the artist and printer-signed edition of 103 which brings upwards of $25,000 when offered at auction. This appears to be a later, posthumous example. The image measurements are 17 3/8" by 21 3/8" (sheet 17 3/4" by 21 3/4") and 25 1/2" by 29" framed...

A hand colored lithograph by Currier and Ives titled, “The Narrows, New York Bay/ from Staten Island.” The scene depicts a nearly rural Staten Island in the foreground with part of the harbor in the middle and the narrows, now home to the Verrazano Bridge in the distance. Currier and Ives in the lower left below the image and their Nassau Street address in the lower right. Kennedy Galleries label taken from the earlier back board, now on the new backing...

Charming original print by the famed artitst Mayumi Oda. Entitled "Meet the Lord of Obstacle II" and numbered 27 in the series. The image depicts a green goddess (perhaps Green Tara, the Goddess of Compassion) in tantric embrace with a white Ganesha, the Hindu Remover of Obstacles. The Sun and Moon inhabit the sky at the same time above them. 1998. Signed by Mayumi Oda in pencil. Framed. Total size in frame: 29 1/4" high x 23 1/4" wide. Size of art: 17 1/2" high x 10 3/4" wide.

One of a number of William Russell Flint prints in my shop, this is a fresh and clean example of the fine color photolithographs issued for collectors over a period of decades. This example, published in 1939 in an edition of 306, is signed in pencil at lower right and bears the characteristic embossed blindstamp in lower left margin. The title is "Provencale Granary". The 1939 date would place this among the earlier prints in the long series that spanned decades...

‏This is an intricate aquatint print, 25 3/4" by 29 3/4" (34" by 27 1/4" framed), signed in pencil at lower right by the artist and dated there "60", titled "Jeux d'ete" (Summer Games) at lower center, and numbered 76/210 at lower left, the work by GUILLAUME CORNELIS VAN BEVERLOO, best known by the pseudonym "CORNEILLE" (the French word for "crow"). I believe I was able to locate only one example of this particular print having sold at auction since 1998...

Paul Cesar Helleu 1859-1927 French This is an original drypoint etching by French artist Paul Cesar Helleu. It is identified as Elegante au Chapeau, created and printed C. 1900 in a small edition. The image measures 15 3/4X11 1/8 inches. Twice signed in pencil lower left border and lower left within the platemark. Printed on a medium weight wove type paper with the Helleu watermark. Richly inked burr still evident.

Rare, large folio size (16 1/2" by 20 3/4" inside the existing mat) hand-colored original 19th century lithograph print "Lake Winnipiseogee from Centre Harbor, N.H.". This is a fine and desirable image, examples of which have appeared at auction in New England. Lake Winnipesaukee is the large lake with islands that occupies a portion of central New Hampshire, south of the White Mountains.
