Charles Baudelaire de face, etched portrait by Edouard Manet. The French poet was photographed by Félix Nadar in 1862 and the photo was the starting-point for Manet’s portrait. More than one version exists of the etching and this is number III. Signed in the plate Peint et Gravé par Manet 1865, and Imp. A. Salmon (printer´s name). On creme coloured wove paper, size of plate "3 ½ / 9.4 cm x "3 ¼ / 8.2 cm. The partly silvered frame measuring "7 / 18 cm x "7 / 18 cm. Condition: fine.

Lucien Jonas, French, 1880-1947, "Le Soldat des Régions Envahies," lithograph, image size measures 17 x 12 inches in a black 24 1/2 x 18 1/2 inch frame. Plate signed in the lower right.
