Portrait of a young child by British painter Montague Walter Jackson, in oil on canvas, circa 1926.
The portrait is an exquisite example of the painter's exceptional skills. The child is depicted with a well-proportioned body, featuring a hand perfectly positioned to convey a sense of naturalness and ease. The face is superbly portrayed, with a contemplative gaze and beautiful eyes that draw you in...

This painting is a very rare example of the pointalist technique. The intricate and swirling brushstrokes or elongated points of paint merge magically, using all of the primary colors in an exquisite and sophisticated manner to create this luminous landscape...

A finely done miniature portrait painting by Joseph Wood. Although unsigned, there is no question that this fine rendering of a young woman was done by Wood.

The condition of the painting is excellent, with vibrant coloring, and no chips, cracks, or restoration. Vintage hazy focus, colorized photo of coastal Santa Monica, looking north and west towards Malibu, 11 1/2" by 9 5/8" as framed in pleasing Southwest style design wood frame. On the frame reverse is written in and old hand in ink "Santa Monica Bay" and "No. 5044". This was found in Connecticut and I recently brought it back home. During its journey around the country it acquired some surface scratches and other issues, as shown in the photos...
A pencil drawing of a nude with head resting on her knee, 7 1/2" by 7" (17 1/4" by 16 1/2" as framed), by the important Bulgarian-born Jewish artist, JULES PASCIN (1885-1930). This drawing has an illustrious provenance, and the artist himself led a fascinating, yet tragic life, making this seemingly simple slip of paper a most interesting ambassador of art history...

This very well carved agate contemporary snuff bottle is almost 3 ½” high, 1 ¾” on the widest part and 1 1/8” thick. It is carved as “Hu” shape with two loose rings on each side. The darker color of the agate was carved into the character “SHOU” (Long Life) and makes the snuff bottle interesting. It is well hollowed, polished and in great condition.
The Pensive Shepherdess
(British School, 19th Century)
Oil on canvas, Unsigned
Painting size: 30” x 20”
Frame size: 36.25” x 26.5”
This sweet genre painting of a shepherdess with her flock reflects the theme of the child-of-nature, a sensibility embraced by Victorians during the 19th century. The figure’s youth and comely face convey innocence, while her steadfast pose next to the goldenrod suggests that she is at ease in her environment.
JOHN JOSEPH ENNEKING- AMERICAN;1841-1916
NOVEMBER TWILIGHT

JJE was one of the most distinguished and successful painters of the late 19th C. He lived most his life in New England, and according to Wikipedia, his "favorite subject is the November Twilight of New England and the half lights of early spring, and late autumn and winter dawn and evening." He always said that his greatest teacher was nature...

Oil on canvas, 16" by 20", unframed, signed at lower right in red "SOON" and with artist's device, signed there "86", the subject a thatched roof village fronting low mountains, clothes hanging to dry in the breeze. This appear to be most likely Korean art, perhaps by a Korean-American, considering the American size stretcher. The name is common in Korea but I don't believe the artist is well known. The work is highly impressionistic and with a frame this will look even better...
