An old Uzbek puttee dating from the 1950s or 1960s. Silk embroidery on an ivory linen ground, embroidered in long and short stitch, the trademark of Uzbek embroidery. Condition is very good, some staining on one side. It measures 8.3 cm x 58 cm (w/o string). The string measures 31 cm. Puttees are a strip of cloth wound spirally around the leg from the ankle to the knee.

The teapot is 6.8 inches (17.5 cm) tall by 10.35 inches (26.5 cm) wide. The sugar is 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) tall by 5.8 inches (14.8 cm) wide. The creamer is 4 inches (10.1 cm) tall by 5.5 inches (14 cm) wide. They are 981 gram (34.6 oz).
They are in good condition with no repairs, chips, or cracks, except small dents at the teapot (as seen in the photos).

Satsuki was from Kyoto, the most famous pupil of Tomioka Tessai, early C20. This painting is beautifully painted with black and plum colours, perfectly combining strength and delicacy in the technique and in the subject matter. In Japanese culture as in Chinese, plum blossom symbolizes strength and nobility of character.

A drum handle from a gompa used by a lama. The handle can be removed for a better handling, especially when the lama had to go for a family ceremony, marriage, funerals etc. the drum; the drum is quite heavy as it is made in a single piece of wood with almost no figurative carving only one chimeric animal on each side. Total height is about 94 cm; handle is 54 cm diameter 42/44 cm and thickness 20 cm.
Silk meisen kimono with double kasuri apple and strawberry pattern on yellow ground. Kasuri pattern was dyed with stencil-resist-dye (katazome) for both weft and warp yarn (heiyo-kasuri). Generally in good condition but has some brownish stains and some in the lining too and the silk tape in the hem is a bit dirty. Mid 20th century. 126cm x 146cm

An old Chinese stone carving on a wood stand of two boys setting off a firecracker. In very good condition, it measures 4" high, 5" long, and 3" wide.
Japanese 20th century tea bowl. The shallowly thrown tea bowl has beautiful gray coloration. Stamp on artist on bottom. The foot of the bowl was hand rolled and pressed onto the bottom of the bowl. The bowl measures 2 1/8" tall, 4 3/4" in diameter at the top and 2 1/4" in diameter at the base.

Beautiful Chinese antique Qilin covered censer carved from one single piece of agate with natural striations across the body. Qilin are a Chinese mythical beast sometimes associated with giraffes or Camelopard. The lid is carved into a detailed lion. Incised decorations of animal heads and scrolling designs with lots of detail. The handles branch out and attach to the body in the form of Qilin heads supporting loose rings as handles...
This vintage textile is from Bamiyan province, Afghanistan and measures 25.5 x 26 cm. Embroidered in pastel-colored silk thread on a fine white linen, it depicts in satin stitch the triangular shapes that are typical of Hazara embroidery. The continuous supplementary-weft technique makes this textile reversible and either face may be used as the front. Condition: Excellent (e.g., no tears, holes, stains). Estimated age: probably 1950-1960.
This is a nicely done vintage Japanese Cloisonne vase with two Angelfish. The work is both silver wire and wireless. It's a heavy stout piece with no signature. It measures 6 1/4 inches by 6 1/4 inches. Over the years, we haven't seen many Angelfish vases.
This is a graceful 10.5" pear shaped vase bearing the seal of Ando Jubei. Enameled an unusual lush shade of plum/brown with a cream accent, it is decorated with silver wire flowers that appear gold against the dark ground. The bottom rim is marked "silver", the counter-enamel is dusty plum.
Condition: No chips, hairlines or repairs. There is minor scuffing to the base rim.
