Early Showa (1930s) Japanese obidome (sash ornament) of round shape with engraved flowers. Obidome is worn on an obi cord that holds the obi sash together, is the only type of jewelry worn by Japanese women on formal occasions, and could serve as netsuke as well. Very nice work, beautiful patina. Metal fitting on the back with two loops for an obi cord. Diameter 1 1/8 inches.

This difficult to find tool-of-the trade pharmacy “IDEAL CAPSULE FILLER” was used by early 20th century druggists to enhance their capsule production. The patent date is stamped Oct. 31, 1905, and research indicates that it was produced by the "Baltimore Capsule Co."

The machine produces 2 different size capsules and has a filling plate that sports 4 parallel rows, each having the capacity of making 24 capsules. Also included are 2 capsule filling trays...

A Chinese banded amethyst sculpture, shaped as an egg and carved with the head of an Immortal with large pendant ears . The carving is beautifully rendered and the unusual form makes it original and desirable. In very good condition, it measures 2 3/4 inches (7.25 cm ) long and dates from the Republican period.

A Chinese jade pendant of triangular shape, with pierced and carved decoration showing a bird among foliage. It is finely and delicately executed, the stone is of pale celadon color and the cord of finely pleated silk. The tassels carry colored beads. In very good condition , it dates to the Republican period and measures 2 inches W X 1 1/2 inches high ( 5cm x 3cm)

The size of Fubako: 11 1/2" Long x 8 9/16" Wide x 2 1/16" High. This is beautiful and classy Japanese Shunkei Lacquer Fubako (stationary box) with fine Japanse Brocade design with flower and karakusa design. Inside has lavender color velvet inside cover as well as inside bottom. The condition of Fubako excellent. It never been used. There is no warping. No scratch and wear. It has the date on the back of box Showa 54. (1979) Sept. 6th. It said as the appreciation of many long years working...

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Berlin, Germany by KPM, Konigliche Porzellan Manufactor in 1921. There is a date cipher impressed in the porcelain indicating this year. The saucer measures 5 inches and the cup is 2 inches high and 3 ¼ inches in diameter. The porcelain is delicate. It is hand painted with colorful bouquets of flowers in the Meissen style. It has gold trim and gilded accents. CONDITION: Excellent

Silk kimono worn on the stage of Kyogen which is a traditional short comedic drama. It is often performed with Noh drama. The kimono is made of thin plain silk with katazome lattice pattern and brush dye for green parts. The lining is pongee silk. The dye is all vegetable and sumi. A Chinese famille-rose porcelain baluster vase with integral revolving base. The vase features an all around outdoor scene of ladies in conversation between a base border of blue lappets with a top border covering the shoulder and neck with blue flowers and scrolls. The reticulated base glazed in a light celadon with the inside of the vase glazed in white. The base with a four character Qianlong mark (1736-95) in overglaze blue.

Netsuke of standing Jurojin holding a turtle on his hand. Jurojin is one of 7 Gods of Good Fortune, that of longevity, and the turtle - one of his usual companions - is also associated with longevity. The netsuke is essentially a wish for long life. Very nicely carved, great level of detail and perfectly captured facial expression, expert staining.
