Measuring 5 1/4" across & weighing 156 grams this 940 sterling silver dish was designed by Taxco, Mexico designer Hector Aguilar. The dish is centered with a 1951 coin with a HIDALGO profile. This six-sided bangle is a truly rare Georg Jensen piece and undoubtedly has gone out of production. It was bought in 1968 and has not been worn very much. This is a design done more than 50 years ago and a long-time GJ dealer in New York says he cannot remember ever having seen the piece. Inside one of the six sides of the bangle is the Georg Jensen mark in a circle of dots, 925S Denmark, and the number 177. The internal diameter is 7cm (2.75in).
