A fisherman's work wear hand-woven of hemp for the weft and cotton yarn for the warp. Stripes are vegetable indigo dye and also natural color cotton yarn. It is from Tsushima in Nagasaki prefecture, an island located between Korean Peninsula and north Kyushu, and the textile is called Tsushima-asa. It had been woven till 1930s, but not woven since then, so it is precious, especially in this excellent condition one...

A footed bowl, the foot facet cut, the glass a light smoky tone. Designed by Nils Landberg for Orrefors glass works, Sweden. Landberg started as a glass engraver at Orrefors in 1925 and 1936 became a designer. Incised mark Orrefors N A 3098/4 N. Landberg. Height "2 ¼ / 5.5 and diameter "4 / 10 cm. Condition: fine.

A mid century Chinese buffet finished in a striking patinated bronze over wood. A solid stone top was designed with a bull nose edge on all sides. The finish has a checkerboard style of look. Two pairs of doors with the left set opening to 5 drawers and the right set opening to a spacious storage area.

This set of 6 porcelain tea cups and saucers was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the 1940s or 1950s. The saucers are 4 7/8 inches in diameter and the cups are 1 3/4 inches high. Grain rises majestically on the surface of this pale vase by pioneering female potter Suwa Sozan II enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Mugi-mon Hanaire. It is 15 cm (6 inches) diameter 34 cm (13-1/2 inches) tall and in excellent condition.

Old Hakoseko (Japanese tissue holder or purse) for times when women wear formal kimono. They are placed in the chest area with the chains of the kanzashi hair ornaments hanging from the obi belt. The beautiful embroidery work (very delicate) on this hakoseko did not show up in the photos. The red color is a much softer tone; this is truely an elegant piece. An American Brass Occasional Table with a Circular Top Supported by a Base Formed by Three Entwined Dolphins. Height 28", Width 18". From the 1920's. One small dimple on the top, otherwise in excellent condition.

A 4 1/4 inch tall colorless hexagonal tumbler with applied jewels and enameling. The base of the tumbler is polished flat and bears a “Glasfabrik Karlsbad” logo and “Moser Austria.” There is slight wear to the gold on the edges of the tumbler.

Long lengths of treads or first braided into a "tape" and then the tape is tightly sewn to a background in elaborate pattern to depict various elements of Miao legends and myths.

This Royal Doulton "Falconer" was modeled by Max Henk. It was produced from 1960-1991.

It is 7 1/2" tall. Excellent condition.

A vintage sterling silver Caddy spoon by William Spratling with a lightly hammered finish and shovel design. This spoon is from the first design period.

Measures 3 5/8" long and 1 1/2" across. Dates from before 1946. Marked with the script 'WS' surrounded by Spratling Made in Mexico, and Spratling Silver. Marks show some wear. Has minor wear to the surface appropriate to the age, some tarnish and surface scratches.
