Old (1930's) Chinese 18K White Gold Jadeite Carved Brooch Marked

It is 1.2 inches (3.1 cm) long by 3.1 inches (7.9 cm) wide. The jadeite plaque is 0.75 inch (1.9 cm) long by 1.2 inches (3.1 cm) wide. It is 13.6 gram.

It has surface wears and scratches and the jadeite has inclusions (as seen in the photos).

Chinese rank badge with what I believe to be a Sixth Rank Badge with the central depiction of the Egret. The right-facing bird soaring toward the sun, is surrounded by ruyi-style clouds, flowers and auspicious symbols. All depicted with bright gold and iron red tie threads. Professionally mounted and sealed as a picture in a wooden frame.

Francis I sterling silver teapot. Made by Reed & Barton in Taunton, Mass. Bellied ovoid body on domed foot, high-looping leaf-capped scroll handle, and leaf-capped s-scroll handle; cover hinged and domed with leafing-scroll quatrefoil finial. Strapwork frames (vacant) on front and back between cornucopias and pendant ribbon-tied flowers. Rims irregular with applied leaves and scrolls. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern name, no. 570A, and phrase “Hand Chased”...

This is a stunningly beautiful Hakata ningyo (doll) made by a Hakata ningyo artist. It is not one of the mass produced Hakata dolls. The softness of the colorings and detail in her kimono (in Kyoto Yuzen dye) did not fully come out in the photos. This doll was modeled after oiran, a courtesan from the Edo period, or we may simply call her Genroku bijin (a beautiful woman from Genroku era in Edo)...

Japanese 20th Century porcelain vase. Made by artist, ITO SUIKO. ITO SUIKO is the art name, or GO of ITO YOSHIHARU 1894-1980. Born in Kyoto, Japan, ITO SUIKO studied ceramics under ITO TOZAN I and ITO TOZAN II. He first showed at the TEITEN in 1929 and established his own kiln in the GOJOZAKA area of Kyoto in 1931. The Cube, or Cubist, pattern was made by Jeannette Glass Company from 1929 to 1933. It's often confused with Fostoria's American pattern and for good reason: both were designed by the same man. Offered here is the creamer in excellent condition. This is the larger size creamer that goes with the sugar that has a lid. See my other listings for more in this pattern.

Tiffin Twilight free form Bowl measures 8x9 inches and is 4 inches high. It does have a couple of "straw marks", which is normal. Otherwise it is in excellent condition. Remember, this glass changes color depending on the light source: it is blue under flourescent lighting and lavendar under incandescent lighting and in sunlight.

A French Art Deco cocktail pick set in the form of Gideon the duck and his snail friend worked in chrome on a mahogany base. The design is by the famed French Art Deco illustrator Benjamin Rabier, who created a comic strip called "The Adventures of Gideon" in 1923. It was immensely popular and Rabier was commissioned to make a range of entertaining barware. Few of Rabier's designs were signed, but this example is signed with his full name. The twelve picks have red bakelite finials...

Daruma standing tall, wrapped tightly in his garment, the tips of his feet just peeping out. The bottom section of his garment is flapping in the wind. This pose is associated with the episode in which Daruma travels to China, crossing the river Yangzi, while standing on a reed.
The figure was molded in a cast in two halves (front and back) and joined before firing...

This very well designed and carved overlay glass snuff bottle is a 1970’~1980”s product. The red over bubbled milky white snuff bottle is 2 ¾” high, 2 1/8” wide and 1” thick. Both sides have the same design which depicts a pond scene with carp, butterfly, a lotus blossom and leaves. It has an orange carnelian cap. It is in great condition.

A beautiful early 20th C. Chinese famille rose porcelain Buddha in excellent condition, marked. H:26.5cm

This hand hammered sterling silver bowl was designed & signed c. 1940's by Taxco Mexico artist William Spratling. The interior of the bowl measures 6 1/2" across & 2 1/2 inches deep. Bowl weight is 652 grams or 23 oz. Each of the 3 handles are accented with 2 raised silver domes. Beautiful condition. Excellent accent piece for any room. This design is included in the superb & permanent 20th century Mexican silver collection at LACMA.

This cradleboard was made by Cecilia Cuthair of the Mountain Ute Indians in the 70's probably as a child's toy. There is no papoose or doll inside...but it is stuffed with cloth covered newspaper to keep its shape. The front is soft cream colored deer or elk skin (brain tanned) with beaded trim. The rear is covered with animal skin.

The cradle board is 20 inches long and 8 inches at the widest point. Condition is pristine.
