A Chinese Porcelain Jar and Cover profusely decorated with "Famille Rose" (Falangxi) enamels. This item was made in China in the late 19th or early 20th Century, circa 1880-1920, during either the late Qing or the early Republic periods. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 15cm (6 inches) high.

A carved sandstone Khmer relief fragment in (Mahayana Buddhist) Angkor Wat style depicting a Buddha head under two parasols, flanked by a pair of fans and mounted on stand. This item was carved in what is now Cambodia, probably during the reign of King Jayavarman VII (1181–1215 AD). Condition - there are chips, the edges are damaged (please view enlargements) and there is weathering and associated iron oxidation to the surface. 56cm long; 35cm wide; 18cm deep. Please note: we regret that, because this item is very heavy and difficult to post, we will be unable to ship.

A carved sandstone Khmer relief fragment in (Mahayana Buddhist) Angkor Wat style and mounted on a stand. This item was carved in what is now Cambodia, probably during the reign of King Jayavarman VII (1181–1215 AD). . Condition - very good - the edges are damaged but, although weathered, there are very few surface losses. 60cm long. Please note: we regret that, because this item is very heavy and difficult to post, we will be unable to ship internationally.

An intricately carved soapstone wine (or tea) pot with attractive "Chicken Blood" red inclusions. This item was made in China, circa 1870-1900, during the late Qing dynasty. Condition - the spout has been broken and re-glued; there are minor chips to the prunus branch decoration and to the tip of the spout 19cm (7.5 inches) long; 10cm (4 inches) high. Weight - 740gm (23oz).

19世纪 鸡血红斑寿山石雕酒壶/茶壶

A small underglaze blue decorated stem dish painted inside with three 17th/18th Centuty style cranes and outside with three bats. The stem is decorated with buddhist knots and stylized plantain leaves. To the inside of the base is the four character mark of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722) but this item was probably made later, during the 19th Century. Condition - there are two repairs to the rim, each with an associated short hairline. No further damages or restoration. 2.75inches(7cm) high, 4 inches(10cm) diameter.

17/18世纪风格青花高足盘 康熙款
一件小型青花高足盘，内外分别饰有仙鹤和蝙蝠。足部绘有蕉叶纹。圈足内部有“康熙年制”四字款，但为19世纪所做。

A rare large bronze paper weight in the form of a Qilin, made in China during the late Ming / early Qing "Transitional" period, circa 1620 - 1680. Condition - very good - the tip of one ear is missing - no further losses and no repairs. 13.5cm (5.3ins) long. Weight: 908gms (32oz).

17世纪中叶 麒麟形铜镇纸 约1620-1680年间
一件较大的麒麟状铜镇纸，作于明末清初“过渡”时期，约1620-1680年间。

A very finely potted and finely painted blue and white vase depicting three five-clawed dragons, amongst cloud scrolls, in pursuit of flaming pearls and above stylized breaking waves. The base carries the six character seal mark of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795) but, after three years deliberation, we have come to the conclusion that this item was probably made later, circa 1880-1920, during the late Qing or early Republic periods. Provenance - purchased by ourselves in January 2009 as part of the estate of a family with banking connections who were in Shanghai in the 1920s and 1930s. Condition - the base is drilled through the reign mark - otherwise excellent condition with no further damage and no restoration. Please note: when we acquired this vase it was enclosed within a 1920s or 1930s electric light fitting which was removed by ourselves with great difficulty (please view enlargements). 33.5cm (13.25 inches) high. Weight - 1.125kg (2lb 7.75oz).

精致的乾隆款青花云龙纹观音瓶 或应稍晚
一件精致的乾隆款青花云龙纹观音瓶。底有“大清乾隆年制”六字篆书款，但估为后世1880-1920年间清末民初时期所做。
来源：2009年1月，我们从一个英国家族手中购得一些旧藏，此为其中一件。此家族上世纪二三十年代曾在上海从事银行业。
品相：底部款识部分有钻孔，除此之外品相完好，无损伤，无修复。

A finely engraved ladies silver pocket watch with enamel face and in velvet English retailer's box. This item was made in France, circa 1890-1910. Condition - very good and fully working. 4cm (1.5 inches) diameter.

A rare heavy, and very finely modeled and decorated, Russian bisque figure group depicting a mother and child. This item was made in late 19th Century by the Gardner Porcelain Factory. The base carries the impressed "Gardner" mark in Cyrillic and the Moscow Coat of Arms mark printed in red. Condition - the tips of two of the baby's fingers are missing (enlargement 12) and there is a chip to the small milk ? pot (enlargements 10 & 11); otherwise excellent - no additional damages and no repairs or restoration. 16.5cm (6.5 inches) high. Weight - 916 gm (32 oz).

19世纪沙皇俄国 莫斯科 著名佳德纳瓷厂产母婴瓷人像
一件胎体厚重、工艺精美的俄国素胎上彩母子人像。作于19世纪末的佳德纳（Gardner）瓷厂，此瓷厂曾一度向沙皇宫廷提供瓷器作品。瓷像底部有模印的用俄语书写的“佳德纳”字样，以及代表莫斯科的红色徽章印记。

A small carved seated figure of an official made in China during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) or earlier. Condition - there are some losses to the wood and there are extensive losses to the old paintwork and gilding. 12cm (4.7 inches) high.

A rare finely painted porcelain bottle vase decorated in what is known in America as the "Fitzhugh" pattern. This item was produced, probably for export to the USA, either late in the Qianlong reign (1736-1795) or during the reign of the Jiaqinq emperor (1796-1820). Condition - there is glaze loss and minor chipping to the rim; no further damage and no restoration. 25cm (9.9inches) high.

A small jar decorated in early 18th Century Kangxi style with Famille Verte / Wucai enamels depicting a legendary battle scene possibly from from the historical epic novel "San Guo Zhi Yan Yi" (Romance of the Three Kingdoms) attributed to the 14th Century novelist Luo Guanzhong. This item was made for export during the late 19th/early 20th Century, probably during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - very good - no damages and no restoration. 12cm (4.7ins) high.

An archaic style jar with crackle-glaze and simulated metal mounts depicticting a Scholar / Musician with a Servant carrying a Qin (string instrument). This item was made in the late 19th Century for export, possibly during the reign of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874) when this style was first introduced. Condition - excellent no damage and no restoration. 13.5cm (5.3inches) high; weight 0.76kg (1lb10oz)

A very finely painted Chinese blue and white vase painted in late 17th Century 'Transitional' style. The base carries the four character mark of the Kangxi emperor but this item was made later during the 19th Century. Condition - there is a small impact chip to the shoulder and associated old body cracks (please see pictures no.3 and no.9 ) and there is production glaze loss ('fritting') to the base rim (see enlargement no. 8). 26cm (10.3 inches) high.

A very large, exceptionally finely cast, bronze censer in Ming form but with archaic (Zhou) style decoration of Imperial quality. The base carries the six character reign mark of the Ming Xuande emperor (1426-1435) but this item was made in China later, during the early 18th Century. Condition - there is old impact damage with an old repair - please view enlargements 5,6,7 and 8; also the five clawed dragons on the base have had a single claw removed; no further damages or restoration. A rare mirror black "famille noire" enamelled jar and cover depicting two birds perched on a branch of iron red flowering prunus blossom over green enamelled rockwork. This item is decorated in late Kangxi style (circa 1700-1720) but it was made later, during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - there is a hairline crack to the cover (please view enlargement 9); the jar itself is in excellent condition with no damages and no restoration. 14.5cm (5.75inches) high.

清光绪 稀有的19世纪康熙风格黑地粉彩莲子罐（带盖）
一件稀有的黑地粉彩莲子罐及盖，绘有花鸟山石。采用清康熙晚期的装饰风格，但作于清光绪年间。

A small finely carved hardwood panel, with gold lacquered border, depicting a Scholar on a bridge in a mountain landscape and encased in a silver wire inlaid frame. The panel and frame were made during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - the frame has been crudely re-glued and would benefit from restoration； the panel itself is in excellent condition with no damages or losses. The frame - 22.3cm (8.8inches) high; 10.6cm (4.2inches) wide. Panel - 20cm high; 7.5cm wide.

清光绪 硬木（估为紫檀）雕高士赏游图小嵌板
一件雕刻精美的硬木小嵌板，四周镶金边，上刻有高士赏游图，嵌板外围有错银木框。嵌板和错银木框约作于清光绪年间。
品相：错银木框粗略粘在一起，如经修复，效果会更好。嵌板本身品相完好，无损伤或缺失。木框高22.3厘米，宽10.6厘米。嵌板高20厘米，宽7.5厘米。

A very finely carved oval-shaped white jade falconer's plaque depicting a five-clawed dragon amongst scrolling foliage. This item was probably made in China in the 18th Century during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor (1736-1795). Condition - very good - there are two chips to the reverse side (please see enlargement 2), no further damages or losses. 9.5cm (3.75ins) long; 5.3cm (2.1ins) wide.

18世纪 卷草游龙白玉瓦子
一件精美的椭圆形白玉瓦子，为放鹰人的臂饰，上有五爪龙于卷草纹中。约作于18世纪，可能为清乾隆年间。

A small twin-handled bronze censer, finely casted and with good patina. The base carries a rare two character seal script mark which reads "Cang Ju". It was probably made in the 17th Century, during the late Ming or early Qing dynasty. This item is from the collection of a British architect who was born in China and lived in Shanghai. It came to the UK with him in 1931. Condition - excellent - no damages. 10cm (4 inches) across; 5.5cm (2.5 inches) high. Weight - 425gm (15oz).

A very finely decorated "Cairo ware" silver overlay circular copper box with central Ottoman style arabic inscription. This item was made in Egypt circa 1880 - 1920. Condition - minor bumping to the undecorated area of the base - otherwise excellent.

A rare bombe form bronze censer with lion mask handles and with traces of gold-splashed decoration. The base carries the six-character reign mark of the Xuande emperor (1426-1435) but this item was made later, probably during the late 16th or early 17th Century. This censer is from the collection of a British architect who was born in China and lived in Shanghai. It came to the UK with him in 1931. Condition - excellent - no damages and no repairs. 15.5cm (6.1 inches) across; 5cm (2 inches) high. Weight 0.84kg (1lb 13.5 oz).

A twin-handled bronze censer. The base carries the six character reign mark of the Xuande emperor (1426-1435) but this item was made later, possibly during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722). A rare pale greenish jade, Ming dynasty, brush washer with finely carved hardwood stand. This item was made during late 16th / early 17th Century, probably during the reign of the Wanli emperor (1573-1619). Condition - very good - there a chip to a petal of the flower at centre of enlargement 7 - no further damages and no restoration. 10cm (3.9 inches) across.

19世纪 蓝地白梅枝纹大盘

A rare 18th/19th Century carved agate snuff bottle with, possibly later, silver and rose quartz stopper. On the stopper is inscribed the Shanghai silversmiths "Wen Yuan" who are recorded as having traded from the Jiaqing (1796-1820) reign through until the Republic period (1912- 1949). Condition - excellent - there is a shallow chip on top, next to the mouth (please view enlargement 11) no further damages and no restoration. 5cm (2inches) high; 4.8cm (1.9 inches) wide.

A large and heavy European shape serving dish decorated in underglaze blue with deer, bamboo and pine trees in a river landscape. This item was made in China for export, circa 1750, during the reign of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795). Condition - there is a well restored rim chip with associated 5.5cm (2.2inch) hairline (please view enlargements 5 & 6) and there are minor glaze imperfections. 36cm (14.1 inches) across.Weight 1.1 kg (2lb 7oz) 707

A rare and very finely enamelled deep dish depicting two cranes, a pine tree and lingzhi fungus (all symbols for long life) and two bats (good luck). The base carries the six character iron red reign mark of the Guangxu emperor and this item was made during his reign (1875-1908). Condition - there are three 2.5cm (1 inch) light hairlines running from the rim (please view enlargements); no further damages and no restoration. 5cm (2 inches) deep; 24.6cm (9.6 inches) diameter.

精美的19/20世纪松鹤延年彩瓷盘 光绪款及其时期
一件精美稀有的松鹤延年才瓷盘，上有两只鹤、松柏、灵芝和蝙蝠。底有红色“大清光绪年制”六字款，此件也作于光绪时期。

A finely potted deep dish, or shallow bowl, well painted in underglaze blue depicting three sinuous Chilong dragons amongst clouds and Lingzhi fungus. This item was made in the early 18th Century during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723-1735). Condition - very good - there is one small shallow under rim chip (please view enlargements 3 & 5), no further damages and no restoration. 3.8cm (1.5 inches) deep; 16cm (6.3 inches) diameter.

18世纪早期青花龙纹盘 雍正
一件工艺精美的青花云龙纹盘。作于18世纪早期清雍正年间（1723-1735）。
品相：很好。口沿背面有一处小的浅磕口（见图3和图5），无其他损伤，无修复。深3.8厘米，直径16厘米。

A Famille Rose enamelled figure of a lady made in China for export to Europe circa 1780-1800 during the reign of either the Qianlong or Jiaqing emperors. Condition - the head has broken off and been re-glued; one earring is missing and there are small chips to the yellow head dress and to three finger tips. There has been no restoration. 20cm (7.9 inches) high.

18世纪末 外销粉彩仕女瓷像 约1780-1800
一件粉彩仕女像，为清乾隆或嘉庆时期约1780-1800年间出口至欧洲的外销瓷。
品相：头颈部脱落后重粘，有一耳环缺失，黄色头饰和三处指尖有磕口。无修复。高20厘米。

A rare 'ogee-shaped' bowl finely decorated in Chinese taste with four Chilong dragons amongst scrolling lotus foliage in Wucai enamels on the outside. The interior is decorated in typical early 18th Century 'Famille Verte' export style with Lotus, Chrysanthemum and Peony flowers and Buddhistic Emblems. This item was made during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662 - 1722). Condition - there is a European made protective metal rim; there is a chip to the rim and two associated 1cm and 2cm hairlines (please see enlargement 7). There has been no restoration. 7cm (2.5 inches) high; 21cm (8.25 inches) diameter.

稀有18世纪彩釉折腰龙纹碗-康熙
非常稀有的折腰碗，外饰五彩四条螭龙盘绕折枝莲间，内饰典型的18世纪外销器风格的素三彩莲花、菊花、牡丹及佛法器物。此碗出品于康熙年间 （1662-1722）。
品相：碗沿有19世纪欧洲制金属护口，碗沿有小块磕口，磕口处有两条细裂纹，分别长约1cm、2cm（见图7）； 无修复。 碗高7cm，直径21cm。

A 19th Century Staffordshire Earthenware Jug depicting Admiral Nelson. There is a similar example in the collection of the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, London. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 28.6cm (11.25inches) high.

An archaic style vase with crackle-glaze and simulated metal mounts. On the base is the apocryphal mark of the 15th Century Chenghua emperor but this item was made much later, probably for export, during the reign of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874). Condition - there are two white filled rim chips - no further damage or restoration. 21cm (8.25 inches) high.

一件早期风格的青花人物三铁瓷瓶。底有寄托款“成化年制”。约作于同治年间（1862-1874），为外销瓷。

An 18th Century yellow ground Cloisonne Enamel Alter Vase, in traditional Tibetan Buddhist shape, made during the reign of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795). Condition - there are burst bubbles; there is impact damage (see enlargement 8) and there are also some flat chips to the enamel (please see enlargement 10). There is also wear to the gilding on the rim and base. 23cm (9 inches) high; base - 13.4cm (5.25inches).

18世纪 黄地缠枝莲纹掐丝珐琅烛台
一件18世纪黄地缠枝莲纹掐丝珐琅烛台，约作于乾隆年间。
品相：表面有釉泡高温破裂形成的小孔；烛台腹部珐琅有一小处脱落（见图8），另有几处片状剥落（见图10）。口沿和底部的镀金有些磨损。高23厘米，底部直径13.4厘米。

A small mid 19th Century silver War Junk complete with two crew and five cannon. This item was probably made circa 1850. Condition - the carved wooden base is substantially damaged on one side and there are minor losses to the junk (please wiew enlargements). 11cm (4.3inches) long; 10.4cm (4.25 inches) high on stand.

一件19世纪中期的银质战舰小模型，甲板上有两名船员和5尊大炮。约作于1850年左右。
品相：木制底座的一面损伤较重，帆船上有些小脱落/损伤（见图）。长11厘米，带座高10.4厘米。

A 16th or early 17th Century Ming dynasty bronze sculpture of a boy riding an Ox or Water Buffalo. This item was possibly made during the reign of the Wanli emperor (1573-1619). Condition - very good - no damages and no repairs. Please note - this item is heavy for its size (550gms / 20oz) and requires a solid horizontal surface to balance upright. 10cm (4 inches) high; 11.5cm (4.5 inches) long.
