An earthenware terracotta bottle vase and stopper. The vase is decorated with transfer printed "famille rose" enamels depicting flowers birds and marine life. This item was made by Watcombe pottery, Torquay, which was operational from 1869 to 1883. The base carries the impressed date mark for October 1878. Condition - very good - there is a small chip to the footrim (please view enlargements) and a tiny chip to the underside of the cover; there are also minor losses to the enamels. 31cm (12 inches) high.

A rare finely potted bowl depicting three sailing ships on waves with a bird in flight . This item was made by Tessa Fuchs (1936-2012). Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 16.5cm (6.5inches ) diameter; 7.5cm (3inches) high

A large bright, hand painted, matt glazed Art Deco vase made in the Plateelba Zuid-Holland (PZH) factory, Gouda, in the Netherlands. This item carries the date mark for 1932. Condition: Excellent - no damages and no repairs or restoration. 30cm (12inches) high; 16cm (6.3inches) diameter.

A well cast Art Deco bronze figure of an African warrior designed by Austrian sculptor Franz Hagenauer and made circa 1930-1950. Condition: excellent - no damages or repairs and with original paint in unretouched condition. Bronze: 12.5cm (4.9inches) high; length 19cm (7.5inches)

A large,heavy, Indigo "Hooped" vase ( Whitefriars pat. no. 9680) designed by Geoffrey Baxter and produced by Whitefriars Glass in this colour in 1967 only. A large, heavy, green glazed stoneware vase made by Trevor Corser at Leach Pottery, St Ives, Cornwall. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 27cm (10.5 inches) high. Weight: 3.5 kg (7lb 11.5oz)

A rare Mahogany table with deeply carved traditional West African style geometric decoration and with elegant stylized antelope form legs. The European shape and African decoration suggests that this item was made for European clients during the Colonial period, is probably Igbo from eastern Nigeria, and was possibly exported to the UK in the 1950s or 1960s during the period of transition to Independence. Condition: very good - no damages or repairs. Top 74cm (29.1 inches) x 58.5cm ( 23 inches). 67 cm ( 26.3 inches) high

A large, heavy, ten-sided (Korean style) black glazed stoneware vase made by Trevor Corser who was the longest servimg member of the Leach pottery, St Ives, Cornwall. This item bears the seal mark of Leach pottery and also Trevor Corser's personal seal. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 28cm (11 inches) high. 2.8 kg (6lb 3oz).

A very sensitively carved Madonna and Child made in the South Tyrol region of northern Italy, probably during the 1920s. Condition: there are very minor edge losses and there is a small, old, glued repair to the base. There has been no overpainting and it has an excellent old patina. A very finely painted fencai/famille rose enamelled teapot.The poem on the reverse side reads - "fang sheng chi jia; xiang qin xiu pi" which can be translated - "Fragrance (of tea)formed between teeth and cheeks; the scent (of the tea) deeply affects heart and spleen (refreshes one deeply)". It is signed "nie xing she zou" - "made by Nie Xing Sheng" (b.1909; d.1981) - active 1916-1981. The base mark reads Jiang Xi Mei Shu Ci Chang - "Jiangxi Art Porcelain Factory". This item was made during the Republic Period (1912-1949), probably circa 1945. Condition - excellent - no wear, damage or restoration. 15cm (6 inches) long; 8.5cm (3.3 inches) high.

民国 精美的粉彩诗画茶壶 聂杏生作
一件精美的粉彩茶壶。壶的一面画有人物及“聂杏生作”的款识，另一面有“芳生齿颊，香沁心脾”八字。聂杏生（1909-1981），著名民国时期瓷器艺人，尤其在1916至1981年间活跃于瓷器艺术创作界。壶底有“江西美术瓷厂”款。此壶坐于民国时期，约为1945年左右。
品相：完好。无磨耗，无损伤，无修复。长15厘米，高8.5厘米。

A very finely painted porcelain plaque - "Wu Song Da Hu" painted in the style of Liu Ji You - illustrating one of the stories from "The Water Margin" depicting the famous scene where the folk hero Wu Song kills the tiger which has been terrorizing the local population. The painting carries a cyclical dating for Spring 1979. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 37cm (14.5inches) x 24.5cm(9.7inches) including wood frame.

A large figure group, depicting a couple in traditional dress made, in the 1970s during the Soviet era, by the Pollonnoye porcelain factory, Ukraine. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 27.5cm (10.8inches) high.

一件上世纪70年代前苏联波隆诺耶瓷厂（Pollonnoye，现位于乌克兰）作青年男女瓷像，两人身着苏联传统服饰。
品相：完好。无损伤，无修复。高27.5厘米。

A large bottle vase painted in Qianjiang style with eight fishes swimming amongst aquatic plants. On one side is a poem which reads "A fisherman I am not, using brush as fishing rod. Casually sketch a few fishes, then look into the painting on the pot. Winter of Ji Si year (1929). Tie Jian Zi Deng Bishan painted at Zhu Shan Mountain." On the base is the seal mark "Bishan". Deng Bishan was one of a very famous group of artists known as The Eight Friends. We believe that this item was made during the Republic period but we do not think it was painted by the hand of Deng Bishan . Condition - very good - there is an old hairline just above the base (please view enlargement 8); no further damages and no restoration. 40cm high.

40厘米高邓碧珊款鱼藻图长颈瓶 民国
一件浅绛彩风格的鱼藻图长颈瓶。一边有诗云：“自知不是烟波客，握笔胡为作钓竿。信手挥成鱼数尾，教君应向画中看。己巳年冬月铁肩子邓碧珊作于珠山。”瓶底有“碧珊”款。邓碧珊为珠山八友之一。我们认为此件虽作于民国，但非出自邓碧珊之手。
品相：很好。底部圈足上有冲缝（见图8），无其他损伤或修复。高40厘米。

A very rare pair of hand guards or constructed from a course woven fibre each incorporating three rows of shark's teeth secured with a fine hand made string or cord. These 'gloves' were made on the Gilbert Islands (now Kiribati) probably during the first half of the 20th Century. Condition: excellent - the fibre is frayed in places but apparently no damages or losses. There is old dried mud or soil on the outer surface of each. Extended length: 40cm Finger loops: 4cm long. Back of hand 'guard': 11cm (4.25 inches) square.

A rare wood carving of a dancing girl with arm raised holding a tambourine. This item was made in China, circa 1966-1976, during the Cultural Revolution period. Condition - the tambourine has been broken - no further damage or restoration. 18.5cm (7.25 inches) high.

A green and yellow soapstone carving entitled "Lion Building" (located in Shandong province) depicting a scene from the famous Song dynasty legend the The Water Margin ("Shui Hu Zhuan") in which Wu Song fights with and kills Ximen Qing who had previously killed Wu Song's brother so as to 'acquire' his wife. This item is carved in a style which was popular during the Cultural Revolution period (1966-1976) but the subject matter (and the fact that the carving bears the signature of the artist) suggests that it was made a little later, circa 1978 to 1982. 17cm (6.7 inches) high; 12cm (4.7 inches) long at the base.
