A large carved hardwood bust of a dancer in traditional costume, signed Klung Kung, and made in Bali during the first half of the 20th Century, circa 1920 to 1950. Height 36cm (14inches); weight 2.5kg (5.5lb).

A rare wood carving of a dancing girl with arm raised holding a tambourine. This item was made in China, circa 1966-1976, during the Cultural Revolution period. Condition - the tambourine has been broken - no further damage or restoration. 18.5cm (7.25 inches) high.

An unusually large "Ivory" coloured moulded Bakelite (Urea Formaldehyde) wall plaque designed by William McMillan RA. These plaques were manufactured by De la Rue Plastics and were presented by the War Office to local Savings Committees in appreciation of their success in "Salute the Soldier Week" in 1944. Some are still to be found in public buidigs throughout the U.K.. For a similar commemmorative wall plaque please view cat. no. EPH 4622 in the collection of the Imperial War Museum, London. Condition: exceptionally good - one small 1.5cm production flaw to the left of the rifle but not visible on the reverse. 58cm (22.8 inches) high; 35cm (13.75 inches) wide.

A bowl, made in imitation of late Qing Imperial style, with two roundels - one depicting a five clawed Dragon and the other a Phoenix - both separated by two iron red bats and above stylized breaking waves. The base carries what is probably the factory mark which, in Pinyin, reads "Jiu Jiang Hui Kang Chu Pin". This item was made in China in the 1940s during the late Republic period. A finely crafted pumpkin shaped Zisha clay Yixing stoneware teapot decorated on one side with applied pumpkin vine decoration. This item carries three seal marks which all bear the name Shi Yu Zhen. Condition: excellent - no chips or cracks and no restoration. A rare Mahogany table with deeply carved traditional West African style geometric decoration and with elegant stylized antelope form legs. The European shape and African decoration suggests that this item was made for European clients during the Colonial period, is probably Igbo from eastern Nigeria, and was possibly exported to the UK in the 1950s or 1960s during the period of transition to Independence. A rare finely potted and attractively painted bowl depicting a stylized peach tree bearing seven peaches. This item was made by Tessa Fuchs (1936-2012). Condition: Excellent - no damages and no restoration. 16cm (6.3inches ) diameter; 7.5cm (3inches) high

A very finely painted fencai/famille rose enamelled teapot.The poem on the reverse side reads - "fang sheng chi jia; xiang qin xiu pi" which can be translated - "Fragrance (of tea)formed between teeth and cheeks; the scent (of the tea) deeply affects heart and spleen (refreshes one deeply)". It is signed "nie xing she zou" - "made by Nie Xing Sheng" (b.1909; d.1981) - active 1916-1981. The base mark reads Jiang Xi Mei Shu Ci Chang - "Jiangxi Art Porcelain Factory". This item was made during the Republic Period (1912-1949), probably circa 1945. Condition - excellent - no wear, damage or restoration. 15cm (6 inches) long; 8.5cm (3.3 inches) high.

一件精美的粉彩茶壶。壶的一面画有人物及“聂杏生作”的款识，另一面有“芳生齿颊，香沁心脾”八字。聂杏生（1909-1981），著名民国时期瓷器艺人，尤其在1916至1981年间活跃于瓷器艺术创作界。壶底有“江西美术瓷厂”款。此壶坐于民国时期，约为1945年左右。

A very finely painted porcelain plaque - "Wu Song Da Hu" painted in the style of Liu Ji You - illustrating one of the stories from "The Water Margin" depicting the famous scene where the folk hero Wu Song kills the tiger which has been terrorizing the local population. The painting carries a cyclical dating for Spring 1979. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 37cm (14.5inches) x 24.5cm(9.7inches) including wood frame.

A large figure group, depicting a couple in traditional dress made, in the 1970s during the Soviet era, by the Pollonnoye porcelain factory, Ukraine. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 27.5cm (10.8inches) high.

A very rare pair of hand guards or constructed from a course woven fibre each incorporating three rows of shark's teeth secured with a fine hand made string or cord. These 'gloves' were made on the Gilbert Islands (now Kiribati) probably during the first half of the 20th Century. Condition: excellent - the fibre is frayed in places but apparently no damages or losses. There is old dried mud or soil on the outer surface of each. Extended length: 40cm Finger loops: 4cm long. Back of hand 'guard': 11cm (4.25 inches) square.

A large underglaze blue decorated vase, very finely painted in 18th Century style with bands of plantain leaves, key fret and ruyi above the Bajixiang (eight Buddhist emblems) amongst cloud scrolls. On the base is the six character seal mark of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795) but this item was made later, in the 20th Century, probably during the Republic period (1911-1949). Condition - a section of the body has been broken and was professionally repaired about 30 years ago (please view enlargements 7 and 8) and there are two drill holes to the base where we have had the vase tested. 38cm (15inches) high. A silver mounted Skean Dhu (Sgian-Dubh) with carved horn handle and snakeskin leather sheath made by leading Edinburgh Silversmith Robert Allison and assayed in Glasgow in 1952. Condition: excellent. 20cm (7.8 inches) long.

A very sensitively carved Madonna and Child made in the South Tyrol region of northern Italy, probably during the 1920s. Condition: there are very minor edge losses and there is a small, old, glued repair to the base. There has been no overpainting and it has an excellent old patina. A porcelain vase hand painted in traditional Chinese style with a continuous mountain and river landscape and accompanying poem. This item was probably made, circa 1950-1975, during the third quarter of the 20th Century. Condition: the base has been drilled for a lamp conversion; no further damages and no restoration. 33cm (13inches) high

A finely carved Striped Ebony (Diospyros ebenum) bust of a lady made in Bali circa 1930-1960. Condition - excellent - no damages and no repairs. 26cm (10.2inches) high; 16cm (6.25inches) wide. Weight 1.6kg.

A small Chinese porcelain vase delicately painted in fencai / famille rose enamels with a scene depicting two ladies on a river bank washing silk. The base carries an iron red four character Qianlong (1736 - 1795) reign mark but this vase was made later, in the early 20th Century, during the Republic period. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 12.5cm (5 inches) high.

A well cast Art Deco bronze figure of an African warrior designed by Austrian sculptor Franz Hagenauer and made circa 1930-1950. Condition: excellent - no damages or repairs and with original paint in unretouched condition. Bronze: 12.5cm (4.9inches) high; length 19cm (7.5inches)

A green and yellow soapstone carving entitled "Lion Building" (located in Shandong province) depicting a scene from the famous Song dynasty legend the The Water Margin ("Shui Hu Zhuan") in which Wu Song fights with and kills Ximen Qing who had previously killed Wu Song's brother so as to 'acquire' his wife. This item is carved in a style which was popular during the Cultural Revolution period (1966-1976) but the subject matter (and the fact that the carving bears the signature of the artist) suggests that it was made a little later, circa 1978 to 1982. 17cm (6.7 inches) high; 12cm (4.7 inches) long at the base.

A rare Cultural Revolution era wood carving depicting a girl dancer holding a lantern, probably from a People's Liberation Army Ballet or possibly from a Beijing Opera performance of the same period, circa 1966-1976. Condition - the lantern handle has been broken and there is a piece missing; no further damage and no restoration. 21.5cm (8.5 inches) high.

A well modelled and painted glazed and "biscuit" figure of Budai made in China during the Republic period (1912-1949). On the base is the mark: Man Yi Sheng Zao - "Made by Man Yi Sheng". This item was brought to the UK by a Liverpool seaman during either the 1930s or 1940s. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 18cm (7inches) high; 18cm (7inches) wide.

A small Paktong Ink Box with engraved landscape decoration, made in China during the Republic period (1912-1949) or earlier. The copper base bears a shop or retailer's mark which reads "Yong Fa Chang". Condition - there are small surface bumps and marks (please view enlargements) and there is wear to the base. 4.4cm (1.75ins) square; 2.4cm (0.9ins) deep.

An earthenware terracotta bottle vase and stopper. The vase is decorated with transfer printed "famille rose" enamels depicting flowers birds and marine life. This item was made by Watcombe pottery, Torquay, which was operational from 1869 to 1883. The base carries the impressed date mark for October 1878. Condition - very good - there is a small chip to the footrim (please view enlargements) and a tiny chip to the underside of the cover; there are also minor losses to the enamels. 31cm (12 inches) high.

A rare rosewood corkscrew and aluminium bottle opener, carved in the form of an Art Deco style dog with glass eyes, made in France during the 1920s or 1930s. Condition: excellent. 16cm (6.25 inches) long.

A large and heavy carved hardwood mask, inset with Paua shell eyebrows, eyes and teeth, depicting tu-mata-uenga - the Maori god of war. Condition: very good - no damages, repairs or restoration. 48cm (18.9inches) high; 28cm (11inches) wide.

A thickly potted heavy dish profusely decorated in early 19th Century style with Famille Rose enamels. This item was made in China in the early 20th Century , possibly for the Malaysian market, during the Republic period (1912-1949). Condition - very good - there is wear to the gilding but no chips, cracks or restoration. 28.8cm (11.4inches) diameter; weight 1.2kg (2lbs11oz).

A Chinese porcelain censer with cover brightly painted in late 18th Century Qianlong/Jiaqing style. The base carries the four character iron red reign mark of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795) but this item was made later during either the 19th or 20th Century. Condition - very good - there are two minor breaks to the ribbon surrounding the "lion" on the cover (please see enlargement 4) - no further damages and no restoration.
