An unusual and rare three legged mythical beast. This is probably the prelude to the three legged frog that lives on the moon. Age: Han Dynasty 206 BC to 220 AD Size: L. 15.5cm. W. 10.5cm Condition: Some chips on the glaze fulled in and a small tip of the crown broken. See last photo.

A very rare large Han tomb pillar with stamped designs on three side. Front panel is stamped with four alternating designs of three trees with cloud formations and four girls carrying something over their heads. Each panel is separated with cloud formations. A rare black glazed Song wine jar with two handles and a spout for pouring. These containers were used for offering a sweet rice wine. You will sometimes find remnants of the wine in the bottom of the jar that has solidified. Size: H: 27.3cm. Condition: No repairs. In it's original condition.

An original natural pigment pottery figure of a standing court lady wearing a short-sleeved tunic over a robe with long sleeves. Her interesting looped hairdo is parted into two bunches that rest atop the sides of her head. The figure has most of the original pigments, some of which have worn off over the years.Very difficult to find one that has not been restored. Period: Tang (618 - 907 AD) Size: Height = 22.5 cm, Width at base = 7.5 cm. Condition: All original. No repairs.

A nice stout wine jug with two handles at the wide shoulders. The two handles have deliberate cuts at the tops, probably to tie rope for securing the stopper. The brownish black glaze covers the jar to about 2.5 cm from the bottom.

Period: Song (12th/13th Century)

Size: Height = 19 cm. (7.5 inches)

Condition: A couple of tiny glaze chips at the mouth's rim. The glaze is not degraded and still has a nice gloss.

A well made Tang dragon handle vase .The vase has two well made dragon handles with a gargoyle type face on the body of the vase with an unusual glaze. Size: H.30cm. W. 17cm.

Tang authentic pottery plate with a sancai-glazed inner and outer rim. The alternating and flowing green and ochre/brown glazes give beauty to the simple form of the plate. Under magnification, the glaze shows very fine crackle and the edge of the glaze is iridescent.

Condition: Good. No cracks or breaks. Has stacking spur marks from when it was fired. Has a small chip on the rim.

A very rare sancai original, three color, glazed Tang duck cup probably used for drinking rice wine. Three colors with some blue cobalt. Check the closeup photos of the glaze with the natural cracking of the glaze due to long burial. It shows the authenticity of the piece. Size: L.16cm,H.9cm,W.8cm. Condition: Small chip on the rim. A very rare figure of a Tang lady seated on a barrel stool in a long robe and large hairdo gently holding a dog. Original Tang figures look beautiful at all angles. Made of a fine red colored clay, it was originally painted but the slip and color have worn away revealing only the clay underneath.

Period: Tang (7th - 10th Century)

Condition: The original head had broken off when found but has been re-attached.

A authentic Tang pottery figure of a court lady standing quietly erect with an upswept hairdo. Her hair, face and neck are left unglazed (except for some small impromptu splashes of amber glaze). A very rare extremely large storage jar from the Chinese Song period, 960 -1126 AD.These jars were used for storage for Chinese trading vessels. They were then traded off to Chieftains in Southeast Asia and were considered sacred items. Most jars were from the Ming to the middle Qing Dynasties.
