Unique and bold Raku influenced Kyogenhakama chawan by Nyoitera Haryo of the Nyoisanzin temple kiln and possibly dating to the late Edo or Meiji period. A very unusual James Pennington bowl with a shaped rim. The painted scene depicts oriental buildings, with the reverse showing rockwork and a variety of odd trees. The interior rim of the bowl has a blue border with stylized flowers or fruit.

The bowl is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, paint loss, or restoration. The enamels are a deep, rich blue. The diameter is 4 3/8" and the height is 2 1/8".

A stunning Chelsea-Derby tea bowl and saucer, finely painted in puce monochrome with scattered floral sprays and sprigs, reserved on a ground of closely packed gilded spirals. The interior of the bowl is painted with a puce rose and leaves. Both pieces are marked with a gold anchor.

Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. Minor gilding wear to the extreme rim edges. The height of the bowl is is 1 7/8", and the diameter is 3 1/8", while the saucer diameter is 5".

An Early Nineteenth Century Hungarian Faience Jug, Possibly used for Wine. Pictures a Shepherd with a Dog and a Ram and Sheep. The Inscription "GAMBRIS ISTVAN 1810" is on either side of the shepherd's Head. Height; 12", weight 2.25 lbs. Minor glaze losses.

This set of 12 porcelain bread and butter plates was produced in Germany by Lamm Dresden in the 1880s. Not all the plates are pictured but there are 12 in the set. The plates have a diameter of 6 1/4 inches. The rims are slightly scalloped. They are hand painted with charming sprays and garlands of flowers in a palate of blue, pink and yellow. There is delicate hand gilded trim. There is a cartouche with a gilded monogram on the rims...

A 19th Century Staffordshire Earthenware Jug depicting Admiral Nelson. There is a similar example in the collection of the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, London. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 28.6cm (11.25inches) high.

A Large Royal Worcester Vase with a Reticulated Neck, Pierced Design in the Handles and Gilt on Rim and Bottom. There is a Hand Painted Scene of Stratford Church on front, and a Hand Painted Floral Design on the Back. Registration No. 101230 for 1888 Pattern No.1279. The size is 12.25" high x 7" wide, with a 22" circumference. It weighs 2.3 lbs. Excellent condition.

This porcelain covered box was produced in France by Tressemann and Vogt Limoges around 1900. The box was sold white-ware and painted by a studio artist. It measures 7 inches in diameter and is 3 1/2 inches high. There is a portrait of a lady in a fancy hat, surrounded by pink roses and raised gilding. A row of turquoise beads accents the rim of the lid. The bottom half is colored forest green. It has a lovely, Victorian appearance. Condition: Excellent

Fine Chelsea Red Anchor period dish moulded with vines and grapes and decorated with floral sprays. Unmarked base with three spur marks. C1755. L.9 3/4", (24.7cm). Condition; a little wear to moulded grapes and leaf. A 0.3 cm frit and a 0.9cm fine hairline crack to rim (see image)

A spectacular Chelsea porcelain covered porringer. This wonderful piece is profusely decorated, even on the inside of the bowl, with butterflies, moths, other insects, and flowers. A veritable rainbow of colors was used in the enameling. The finial on the lid is a naturalistically molded rose with hues of reds and pinks, and the handles are painted with a distinct bluish green...

A Renaissance Style Majolica Oval Footed Centerpiece or Tray. With a Central Tortoiseshell Glazed Recess with a Relief-decorated Border with Cornucopia, Oval Cartouches and Lobed medallions. An Egg and Dart Rim. Circa 1870. Dimensions; 14" long x 10.5" deep x 2.25" high. Made by Rorstrand of Sweden (founded 1726), with the imprint partially visible on the bottom. Excellent condition.

A fine rare Pennsylvania German folk art brides box c. 1830 in very good antique condition with all original antique paint. This is a truly splendid high quality set.

From our European Porcelain Collection, a fine French Niderviller neoclassical-style porcelain saucer, heavily potted, late 18th century circa 1774-1784. This saucer is executed en grisaille in very fine detail of a sleeping cupid, rendered against a very dark cobalt blue ground that almost appears black. The border is richly gilded, and the reverse contains markings that stand for Count Philibert de Custine, who owned the Niderviller factory during this time period...

German Westerwald Cylindrical Tankard with a Pewter Lid. Decorated with a central band of applied flower heads on a blue ground. C1700. Ht. excluding lid, 5 3/4" (14.7cm). Condition of the tankard is excellent; no chips, cracks or restoration.Pewter lid with some corrosion and a small hole.

A rare and elegant first period Dr. Wall Worcester cream boat. This thinly potted superb example is of vertical faceted form with a double C-scroll handle with a raised thumb rest, and is painted in blue in the Prunus Root pattern. The gnarled root depicted has flowering branches trailing around the rim and small insects, the bottom with workman mark "IH".

Pristine condition with no issues at all. Clear, non-blurred painting...

A beautiful and pristine Dr. Wall First Period Worcester hexagonal creamboat with a flared rim, a double scroll handle and the lip moulded with a geranium leaf. This wonderful piece, of highly desirable form, is painted in bright colours of green, iron-red, fuchsia, purple, blue, and yellow, and features two bouquets of flowers within scroll moulded cartouches, amongst scattered blooms. A beautiful and rare bucket shaped cup made by the Bow porcelain factory and decorated in gilt, iron red, green, and blue in the kakiemon "Two Quail" pattern. The arrangement of the pattern is also unusual on this piece, with the birds placed directly opposite the handle.

This piece is in superb condition, with no chips or restoration, and showing bright enamels, with a truly minor in the making glaze split at the top of the handle (shown in extreme magnification in the 6th photo). The cup is...

A beautiful and well executed Dr. Wall Wall First Period Worcester tankard of rare size and pristine condition. This pattern, named the "Telephone Box", is derived from the Chinese, and is one of those designed specifically for upright pieces. It also is one of the very few patterns that occur both on polychrome and underglaze blue. It features two single figures and two groups of two figures each.
