Chased and engraved scene from Robinson Crusoe: In the foreground stands the hero in the baggy garb of a marooned islander. He holds a long gun with more survival tools—including a hatchet—slipped under his belt. He points to a group of people in the distance...

Edwardian Georgian sterling silver monteith bowl. Made by William Hutton & Sons, Ltd in London in 1906. Round and curved on raised and stepped foot. Molded curvilinear rim with interspersed with leaves and applied pendant flowers. Vertical strapwork bands with laurel-wreathed oval frames (vacant) in leafing scroll surround applied to same-shaped stippled ground. Fully marked. Very good condition.

Lovely Victorian bonbon spoon by Gorham in the 1894 “Imperial Chrysanthemum” pattern. The ornate handle is decorated with chrysanthemum blossoms, while the gilt bowl is pierced with a pattern suggesting chrysanthemum foliage. The back of the handle is as ornate at the front. The back is marked with old Gorham hallmark.

Origin: America, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, all original including gilding, no monogram. Size: 4-3/4” long. Weight: 20.5 grams.

A large classic tablespoon, the handle double-ridged and topped by a small lip. Impressed eagle mark and maker’s initials Abck: Co. Mid 19th century, Kentucky? Length "8½/ 21,5 cm, weight 48 grams. Condition: some wear consistent with time and a minor ding to the bowl (cf pics.).

Elegant Napoleon III ivory letter opener and book mark with a French silver handle with repousse decoration. The piece serve as a paper cutter or letter opener, but the double blade can slip over the edge of a page to serve as a book mark. The handle is decorated in a foral pattern and has a reserve which was never monogramed. The end has a loop so that the opener/mark could have a ribbon attached or so that it could be worn from a chatelaine...

Turn-of-the-century sterling silver baby set rich in period assumptions. Made by William B. Kerr in Newark. This set comprises cup, bowl, and plate.

Cup has acid-etched frieze depicting sailor-suited, flag-holding, all-American boy with exotic coevals in native dress relegated to background. Imagery enhanced with verse: “Little Indian, Sioux or Crow, little frosty Eskimo, little Turk or Japanese—Oh! Don’t you wish that you were me?”

Victorian Modern sterling silver cigar box. Made by Joseph Braham in London in 1897. Rectangular with straight sides. Flat top with double hinged end covers. Center has scroll bracket handle; open rectangles at ends inset with detachable cutters. Also, detachable lighter and strike. Interior cedar lined and partitioned. Box underside leather lined. Painted cast iron horsehead nameplate by Hubley, intended for use on a stable door, probably at a racetrack or horse farm. Two screws are meant to hold an engraved nameplate to the horseshoe. This would make a great name plate on the front door of a home.
