The porcelain plate is marked in underglaze blue with the crossed torches of Locre which was known to have exported undecorated porcelain to England. Once in England, very often London, it was decorated with overglaze enamels and gilding. The Locre factory closed in 1820. The decoration is reminiscent of 18th century Worcester. Though it may have been part of a set of plates it may also have been painted to replace a broken plate in an 18th century set...

This fanciful Art Nouveau style brass desk box was originally made to hold stamps but would be a great place to store a special ring, cufflinks or a secret. Rectangular shaped, standing on four feet, the hinged cover has a centered sunflower surrounded by leaves and vines, two compartments inside, unmarked. Measures 3 in. x 1 5/8 in. x 1 1/4 in. high. Condition is near perfect.

Pretty Edwardian inkwell. Made by Foster & Bailey in Providence, ca 1910. Rectangular clear glass base with chamfered corners, wraparound acid-etched garland, and star cut to underside. Ovalish well with short neck in sterling silver collar with hinged and domed cover. Cover top has enameled flower basket and garland on white wavy and chevron ground with ornamental blue lunettes. Fully marked. Very good condition with strong color.

George V sterling silver vase. Made by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. Ltd in Sheffield in 1913. Tapering and girdled tube on stepped foot. Flared and castellated rim with applied molding and ornament. Lion’s head side mounts with hinged and turned rings. Fully marked, including design no. 13163. Very good condition.

A nice tin tray with tole floral decoration. The center is painted with a colorful bouquet including roses, tulips, peonies, lilies and ferns. The bouquet is surrounded by a foliate border, and the edges of the tray are highlighted with an orange-gold sand paint. The tray is handmade with soldered seams and rolled edges.

Bold Victorian banded agate bead necklace with a silver dog tag clasp. The 19 large banded agate beads are interspersed with small black agate beads. The necklace measures 17 1/2" long, c 1870

A pair of English Georgian period sterling silver footed salt cellars or dishes, fully hallmarked for London, England 1743-4. This antique pair of 2-1/2" diameter salt stands or dips are 1-1/2" high, and they have three hoof design feet. These salt dips have a maker's mark for George Wickes (later to become Garrard) and they have an original RSH monogram on the bottoms...

German 800 silver and glass decanter, ca 1910. Flat and round bowl with cylindrical neck. Double-sided acid-etched landscapes with picturesque windmills, bridges, and houses. At bottom 800 silver mount with pierced and chased scrollwork, as well as musicians and colonnade. Silver neck collar. Silver ball stopper with figural finial in form of water carrier; clear glass plug. Marks possibly for Wolf & Knell in Hanau. Good condition with deep patina...

A Magnificent Large German Silver Center Bowl or Compote. Dimensions; 12.5" wide x 9" high; weight, a heavy 40.2 Troy ounces. Made in Germany circa 1890. Excellent condition.

Jewelers produced tie pins in the 19th century to meet the increasing demand for novelty jewelry. The spiral ridge near the top of the pin helps to hold the item of clothing, whether it be a tie or a scarf, securely in place. The increasingly liberated and activism of women toward the later half of the 19th century gave rise to a new class of sporting jewelry. Many an equestrienne was wearing horseshoe pins to the lapel of her riding clothes by the 1880's...

A rare and beautiful sweetmeat with a double ogee bowl with an everted rim. The bowl is atop a set of 3 merises, below which is an opalescent stem with a double series opaque twist (dsot) composed of a 17 ply spiral band around a lace twist. At the bottom of the stem is a nicely domed and folded foot.

The glass is in overall excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or restoration. There is a tiny 1/16" inclusion in the side of the bowl, not at all uncommon and truly of no importance...

Tall Victorian Classical sterling silver vase. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Lobed baluster with inset neck and flared rim; domed foot. Acid-etched fluid and symmetrical leafing scrollwork pattern with copper traces; foot has scroll and flower repousse border. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 11579, and director’s letter C (1902-7). Very good condition with strong definition.

A Large Round Copeland Tray or Platter in Blue on a White background with a Scalloped Rim with a Gold Edge. The dimension is 15" in diameter, with a height of 1.5". The date mark is for 1881, with the Copeland imprint on the underside. In excellent condition.

These 11 porcelain plates were produced in Germany by Meissen in the late 19th century. They have first quality crossed swords markings under glaze. The plates measure 9 3/4 inches in diameter. The plates are deep with scalloped rims. Each plate is hand painted with sprays of colorful flowers and bugs. No two plates are alike. There is delicate gilding trimming the rims. Only one plate is pictured, but the set includes 11 plates...

A Gorham silver plated open chafing dish on stand from the 1900 era. This top quality late Victorian era warming dish measures 9-5/8" across and it sits on the ornately designed heavy quality footed stand, which has a large fuel well with a turned handle. It has two mechanical burners - the long thumbwheels open the lids and raise and lower the wicks in the same motion, snuffing the flames. The burners are mounted in a fitted top which sits on the fuel well; they are stamped PAT'D AUG 29.189...

A Regency Period English Teapot with a Matching Three-footed stand. The teapot is 8.5" high x 8" tip to spout; the stand is 7" in diameter. There is a classical design in gilt on black. Circa.1810-1820. There is some modest gilt wear but in excellent condition.
