A large and exceptional late renaissance Iron lock with handle and original key, late 16th.-early 17th. century AD.

The lock is intact and tight of good metal, with the original grip / handle still inserted and with original key! Very unusual complete set. Attractive lock, finely decorated with engravings and cut metal.

Beautiful and very early Italian Majolica Faience, Apothecary Jar, marked Bassano and dated to the year 1715!

Early dated European Apothecary jars are very rarely found and this is a great specimen in blue and white glaze and Gothic writing. The mixture held in the jar was 'Sempe De Portulaca'. Albarello shape and quite large.

A important rare massive size German stoneware pouring jug, Westerwald, ca. 1780-1820 AD.

Jug with cobalt glaze of floral motifs with a birds wing, original pewter lid with no stamps. Fantastic size and very decorative, a must for collectors of early German pottery.

An impressive early Pewter Stein, Germany, dated 1798 on the lid, but probably made much earlier in the 18th. century.

Profusely decorated over the entire surface with frases / sayings and images of Crowned Guild symbolics, a heart and a crowned cross etc. The lid also engraved with a owners name - MARGRETA JURGSEN 1794.

With German Pewter touchmarks, perhaps dating it 1733 (?).

Such high quality tankard from this period is very rare!

A finely decorated octagonal jar with lid, made for carrying fat for musket bullits, late 17th. cent.

A rare box fully inscribed with fine caligraphy from the Coran and still with remnants of the original 300-400 years old content inside. The box has a lid and the hinges and lock are in intact workable condition. Silver is testing more than .800, though there's no silver marks.

Size: 56-57 mm. in diameter and c 25 mm. tall.

Profusely decorated over the entire surface with two flanking Lions on either side of a crest of a crowned Bulls head with crossed hatches in the mouth. Chinese Han Dynasty Gilt Bronze Chimera Wonderful Chinese Han Dynasty figure of a chimera. The mythical creature is whimsically posed with it's head turned over it's shoulder and it's mouth wide with it's tongue out. It's feet are hooves and on it's back are wings. Made of bronze and gilded, beautiful patina, eyes are made of inlaid turquoise.

Finely engraved and dated pewter stein or stob / Germany, made in 1708 (touchmark inside lid).

An early tankard with a large central medallion with text reading in fine old hand-writing style in German:
''GOTTES SEGEN AND GLÜCKLICHE ZEIT WÜNSCHE ICH AUCH ALLEN BEIDEN'' Fine floral engravings on either side.

Later initialized and dated by new owners J.G. Büdger to 1811, so more than 100 years after it's making.

The seal cast with an heroic bust of a greek god of war, probably Ares or Athena in the classical style. A monogram of two capital letters finely engraved in the seals base.

Mayan terracotta head fragment with nice detail , dendrite spots . size 2.5 by 2.5"

This interesting little ceramic figure is purportedly from the Majapahit period (1293-1500)of Eastern Java. Possibly a religious figure, it is barefoot and has tribal head-dress and flowing robes. There does appear to be a light colored glaze underneath the surface dirt which I have not attempted to remove or clean. The statue is just under 20 cm in height and weighs 444 grams. This is a truly unique piece of ancient artwork, the likes of which we have not seen. Feel free to email with comments ...

Yuan - Ming Dynasty Lokapala temple guardian bust, this rare and fantastic 2 piece bust comes from the Pingyao area of China and once protected the front of a temple from evil. The piece is made of earthen stucco with polychrome colors ,as well as glass eyes.The statue would be well over life size. Bust dimensions H 17" W 20" D 11" and very heavy and delicate .
