This is a really great frog themed walking stick. This stick is dated 1894 with a silver collar and red glass eyes. This stick also has an ebony shaft and a metal ferrule. Small and pretty desk seal, gilded silver and banded agate, with two minuscule French hallmarks, probably a boar´s head (in use from 1838 on small items). From around 1850-60 = 2nd Empire. The seal stone, not engraved, is yellow in tone, probably a citrine or a topaze. Height "2/ 5.4 cm. Condition: the agate handle with repair (cf. pics).

A fine French mantle clock in the rococo style made of rouge marble with gilded bronze feet and accents, atop which stands a bronze of Joan of Arc by Henri Emile Giraud (1825-92,Fr), and thus signed. Measuring 2.75 inches in diameter by 3 inches high, this darling, circa 1890's, English, porcelain, double quill holder features a startled mother dove attempting to fend off a serpent about to devour the three eggs in her nest!

Likely Staffordshire, the quill holder features lovely polychrome coloration. Condition is wonderful with no chips, breaks, repairs, or repaints. Age crackling to glaze is evident along with a tiny stain on the dove's breast.
