Hard-to-find English barrel shaped wooden string holder with a pedestal base. Made of lignum vitae wood, the dispensing end has a twist off opening. Circa 1860-1880 it is still a useful object and a great find for the collector. Overall condition is good with only a small chip on the base. Has a beautiful warm patina and measures 5" long at base, 5.5" wide at back, 6.5" high.

Offered is a wonderfully hand-crafted, circa 1870's TONGUE PLANE.

This early example measures 12.5 inches long and sports a lovely aged brownish patina. The toe of the plane has the owner's initials, "L.C.", boldly-stamped upon it.

The condition is commensurate with a modestly-used antique hand tool. There are the expected unobtrusive small dings, scratches and imperfections typically seen in vintage tools...

Offered is a wonderfully hand-crafted, 19th century SMOOTHING PLANE.

This lovely example has a subtle, coffin-shape form and sports a dovetailed base that was expertly joined. This handsome tool measures 7.25 inches long and retains its original, aged, brownish patina. The owner's initials, "N.S", are stamped on the heel of this plane.

The condition is commensurate with a mildly-used, antique hand tool...

This is a really great frog themed walking stick. This stick is dated 1894 with a silver collar and red glass eyes. This stick also has an ebony shaft and a metal ferrule. This stick measures 36" x 4" x 1". The handle itself is 1 1/2" x 4" x 1". The collar is 2" and the ferrule is 1". Such an awesome stick!
Handle is 1 1/2 inches high and 4 1/2 inches to the side, well carved handle with a beaded overlay of silver, engraved silver collar “Colonel E. F. Gosset”, thick ebony shaft and a horn ferrule. Overall length of the cane is 35 1/2 inches. Condition Report: Good condition
The handle is bronze patinated metal and mounted on a sturdy "bark on" hickory shaft with a long ferrule. The cane dates to the very early 19th century. It is in great condition for its age! Note: This cane never had glass eyes. Circa 1800. Condition (Excellent). Size 38" L.
Fine British antique dress cane with sterling silver ball handle with fabulous design and silver collar with the English full hallmarks and bronze ferrule, 19th century era. This great carved ivory walking stick features a wonderful cockatoo with beautiful blue glass eyes. This stick has a coin silver British collar, ebony shaft and metal ferrule. This stick measures 37 1/4" x 1 1/4" x 1". The handle is 3" x 1 1/4" x 1". The collar is 1/4" and the ferrule is 1". A very nice stick!

Japanese silver mascot cane-Ca. 1890-Sizeable silver knob chased and engraved in high relief and very fine detail with an encircling dragon on the side and a round shield with traditional Fu calligraphy inscriptions conveying wishes of good luck and long life on the top. Rosewood shaft. Size; Handle measures 3 ¼” x 1 ¼”, Overall height of cane 36 1/4 inches. Excellent condition.
Feminine Silver Dress Cane-Ca. 1890-Silver handle hand chased and engraved with various panels of different flowers, scrolls and shells on its stretching stem and with a crown of flowers on the round and flattened knob, mahogany shaft and a copper ferrule. Folk Art Monkey Cane-Ca. 1880-A one-piece carved cane with a hand grasping a baby monkey with two color glass eyes, natural bark shaft and a brass ferrule-O.L. 33”.
The carved handle is 2 1/4 inches high and 1 1/2 inches to the side.. There is a ornate metal collar and natural branch shaft with varved bone dots inlaid on twigspurs and a metal ferrule. Overall length of the cane is 34 inches. Condition Report: Fair condition
