Beautiful exotic wood case with cylinder music box that has bells, drums and castanets. It plays 10 tunes on the cylinder, but unfortunately I don't know what they are as the list of them disappeared a long time ago. The sound is great, and the case is lovely rosewood. We believe the box to be a Sublime, but there is no makers name any place onthe box that we can see. The lid of the box is slightly warped and has been cracked and fixed, but everything else is in beautiful working condition...

Beautiful 19th century rosewood box containing bottles and measuring items for a doctor to put together his own remedies for patients. The beautifully grained rosewood box measures 10" tall x 12" wide x 6" deep. It has its original lock (with key) and recessed brass handles on the box, along with a bottom drawer that is locked by a brass pin that has to be removed in order to gain access to it. This relic of a horse saddle was dug up in the southwester dessert area of southern California roughly 50+ years ago. Because of the style of the pummel it looks more Mexican than Western. How long it was buried is an open question...
