An Egyptian Gesso and wood Painted Horse Head possibly from an equestrian figure with a beautiful crackle patina and mineralised wood in areas. probably ancient. Collected in the late 19thc.
Untested for age priced accordingly. Size H 8" D 5.5" W 2"
A bronze Atef crown's feather. Ram's horn on bottom upon which a rearing ureas cobra is perched, with gaps probably originally containing inlays, crowned with the solar disc; the cobra flanks a large, curling ostrich plume with multiple horizontal incised lines. Height: 3-1/2" , not including base. Late Dynastic Period, ca 700 to 330 B.C.
This is really a fantastic fragment of a faience Isis, sitting on a lion throne, nursing her son Horus.
The whole throne, supported by two stringing lions, is well preserved. The lions are extremely fine
and you can see every detail. Dating is between Third Intermediate Period to Late Period.
I think it looks a little bit Nubian, than it is 25th Dynasty...
Large and rare two-coloured and two-sided Egyptian faience Wedjat Eye.
The Wedjat Eye is open-worked, the two-coloured side is convex and the other flat.
There is an old collection label on the wooden stand, which is inscribed with PE 40.

The figure has nice facial features with some black cosmetic details remaining and a well-carved osiris beard. While the pigment has been lost throughout the piece there are still traces of the broad collar and vertical column that originally likely contained hieroglyphics showing the name of the owner. The figure is well-carved with only some losses to the neck area...

The cosmetic details, head cloth and agricultural implements are depicted in black pigment and the skin of the figure is presented in red, indicating that this shabti was for a male. The shabti is carved from sycamore wood and is presented mammiform with a tripartite wig with arms crossed over the chest. A seed sack is painted on the back. Relics of the Nile is pleased to present his wonderful twin-handled Egyptian alabastron. The alabastron is nicely banded and well-sculpted with a cylindrical neck and disc rim. The alabastron is presented on a custom base for easy display and measures 3.25" in height (3.7" tall including the base". Egypt, Late Period ca 664 - 350 B.C..

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this fragmented, but still lovely Egyptian blue faience offering cup with cartouche. The back and part of the lower portion is missing, however the front containing the cartouche of the pharaoh is still intact. The cartouche is highlighted in black and appears to contain the cartouche of Amenhotep. The vessel measures 2" in height, plus the size of the base.
