Shallow form with brilliant turquoise color. The cavetto is molded with thirty-two chrysanthemum petal-form flutes that appear convex on the back-side of the dish and encircle the flattened base. A “China” mark is needle-incised on the base. Very good condition. Acquired 25 years ago in North Carolina from an estate that was involved with the tobacco trade in China. It is rare for a large, delicate flat-rimmed dish, such as this one, to survive without damage...

Chinese blue with white background colored Peking glass vase, with a short trumpet neck encircled with stiff leaves above two female figures, one sitting under a tree and the other holding a flower branch amid clouds and landscape in relief. This fine glass vase has a height of 12 inches. Condition Report: Excellent condition without any chips or cracks.

Quirky glass ring emulating agate. This piece came from China but possibly is a trade object. I acquired this in a lot of other ancient pieces. A conservative dating to this is Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and guarantees it to this period. There is one crack as well as some bubble burst pitting on the surface. Outer D: 2.8cm and inner D: 1.9cm.

This late 19th century reverse glass painting is 13” x 19 ½” (20 ½” x 26 ¾” including frame). It depicts two birds surrounded by a rock garden, peony and plum blossoms. The translation of the calligraphy is: “Seeking refuge to escape the tyranny of the times; seeing those beautiful blossoms, it seems spring has begun the new year.” One of the signature seals on the top reads “Shao Xi;” this is the name of the artist. Beautiful pair of white and green Peking glass vases from circa 1900. Peking glass is chinese overlay glass that has been carved. Traditional Chinese water scene with ducks, swooping birds, and lotus flowers in green on white ground. Measures 10" high 3" diameter at base. Previously used as a pair of lamps. Late 19th/ early 20th century.

The glass snuff bottle shows the four sea-dragons swimming in the sea. This probably represent the four seas.Each of the dragon have four claws which represents royalty but not imperial. The colour of the snuff bottle is of dark orange colour. The base has a honorific Qianlong mark to the base. Cir. late 19th century, likely to be dated to the Guangxu (1875-1908) period.

This is a two colour wufu and coin motif peking glass snuff bottle. The colour of the bat is in light brown colour and the coin is green colour. Wufu means the five fortune. The chinese coin in general means "Tong Bao" or treasure. On both side of the coin, it is inscribed with the character "Tian Xia Tai Ping" which means peace to the world. Cir. late 19th century.

This is a pair of glass bowls with saucers that are of a deep, even amethyst tone with high translucency. The pieces are molded, then turned, having highly polished interiors. The two bowls have well-carved pronounced footrings. The backs of the saucers retain the mold shapes, but with a glossy polish.

This late 19th century Chinese overlay Peking glass vase is 10 ¾ inches high and 5 ½ inches on the widest part. It depicts a well known Chinese story “The goddess of Luo River.” A groom drives a dragon cart over the river while the goddess Luo sits in the cart. Two maids are following them. The workmanship is precise and elegant. It is in excellent condition.

A very rare scroll weight resp. paper weight made from glass and painted with a very pleasing romantic landscape . This painting is done in a typical Qianlong manner on a opaque white glaze and is covered with a thick layer of transparent glaze. Water pot of squat, ovoid form with a narrow foot and slight depression of a base. The even lavender-blue tone of the glass is translucent in strong light and is well-polished on the interior as well as the exterior. Such items as this were essential for the scholar's desk and are more often seen in ceramics than in Beijing glass. There are a few areas of abrasion and scratches from use and some light wear to the foot area...

If one look at the details of this rare chrysanthemum shape dish this piece seems to be carved like we know this from jade pieces. Excavated together with Song Dynasty ceramic pieces and shards in Indonesia. Song Dynasty or earlier. Diameter 8,5 cm.

Skillfully painted on the interior with a scene of a mountainous landscape with waterfalls and scholars’ residences, loosely in the manner of the late Ming/early Ching artist, Wang Jian.

The transparent glass is slightly grayish in tone and the vase’s interior has been evenly ground to create a frosted background to the painting. The artist was probably a professional snuff bottle painter.
