This is the most desirable of all the Han dogs. Not only has it been beautiful executed but has one of the nicest faces I have ever seen on a Han dog,it looks great from every angle. Size: H.26.5cm. W. 23.3cm.

Bottom of the pair contains a seal reading: Qianlong Nianzhi which would be from the mid to late 18th century. However in reality the piece was made during the 19th century. Chinese archaic pottery figure of a calling camel on a solid base, made from red clay. The statue has a great, incredibly detailed form. The inside body of the camel is hollow and within it you can see finger imprints from the original artist. In wonderful, original condition. Tang Dynasty dates from AD 618-907.

Featuring a six-sided melon shaped body rising from a short straight foot, tapering to its shoulders onto a straight cylindrical neck and is topped with a fitted cover, decorated with a lion formed finial. The entire ewer is covered overall in a white glaze (qingbai-type) with some soft tones of blue where its glaze pools. Its base is fully unglazed.
Measurements: height (21.5cm), length from spout tip to handle end (15cm).
