This silver box, of lobed medallion form, has a hinged lid decorated with geometric and floral repousse work in prominent relief. The sides are incised with floral elements with a caligraphic cartouche in the front. The base is also incised with a floral design surrounded by a band of small repeating triangles. The entire box is fashioned from solid sheet silver. There is some wear and light tarnish.

19th century small Middle Eastern brass vessel with inlaid copper and silver decoration of 4 reserves with different Arabic inscriptions, possibly names of great Imams. Very nicely made, wonderful feel of age. Maximum diameter 2 1/16 inches, height 2 inches.

A large silver tray of oval form with applied scrolling handles. The sloping sides of the salver with repousse decoration in the Turkish baroque style. Tughra and two other marks to either end of the tray, each handle with two hallmarks. Condition: traces of usage, the sides with two short cracks, one old repair with crack near the attachment of one handle (pic. 9). Dimension total: 41.5 cm long x 26.7 cm wide, weight: 760 g.

An Iranian tinned copper plate, of saucer form. Chased decoration of calligraphic cartouches. Base with maker's mark. Condition: some traces of usage, rubbing to tinning, slightly warped. Dimension: diameter 26 cm, 4.2 cm high.

Beautifully shaped antique Persian nargileh water pipe top made of brass with inlaid cabochons imitating turqoise and garnets. Interior with clay. Condition: traces of usage, lost inlays, soldering repair, slantwise standing, residue of wax (inside) and polish, foot area with a crack (please look at the photos). The body of the ewer seems in embossed rather than cast bronze because the walls are very thin, however the neck and the handle are in cast bronze and very thick. The decor is incised with a character fighting a snake, details are inlaid in gold. 3 fantastic animals are arranged on the sides on either side of the ewer, they are treated in high relief and seem to be in solid bronze and to be one with the body of ewer because we do not see any welding or rivets...

Cylindrical container made of brass with a domed cover and decorated base both close fitting. With engraved decoration in horizontal bands, the widest with eight medallions each containing a figure at leisure. Its function is not obvious, maybe an ink pot (davat) or a container for tobacco or spices. From an old Swiss collection. Condition: good, few tiny dents. Dimension: 7.5 cm high, diameter: 4.2 cm, weight: 80 g.

A Syrian bell-mouthed brass vase decorated with interlacing patterns, tendrils and Islamic calligraphy inscriptions, beautifully engraved and inlaid in silver and copper. Base with date. Condition: fine, a bit naturally distorted, few traces of usage. Dimension: 26.8 cm high, weight: 729 g.

Description: Fine antique Persian copper bowl, late Quajar period, a band of engraved Persian poem from poet Hafez fallowed by geometrical design. On the base a horse in sitting position with a bird with open wings on the horse's back. This type of bowls was carried by people so every individual had his own bowl and was used for drinking water or wine. Measurements: 1 inches high and 3 3/8 inches in diameter in good condition. Antique18th - 19th centuries Armenian Ottoman, filigree, partially gilt silver, large belt buckle or cloak cape clasp fastener, formed from two circular domed bosses entirely made of high-grade silver.

The shield also features four domed bosses and is affixed with four ring bolts on the reverse side for straps to hold it.

A pair of antique, 17th – 18th century, Islamic, Turkish Ottoman stirrups of a characteristic form. The stirrups are made of russet iron and have a curved base plate. The sides of the stirrups rise towards the arch and finish with a loop. The surface of the stirrups is decorated with linear ornaments that are inlaid with silver wire and adorned with white metal studs. One of the stirrups is signed in Arabic alphabet with silver wire.
