An Ancient wooden casket for Buddhist ritual implements lacquered black and decorated with lotus flowers in silver and gold on scrolling vines with an inscription beneath stating it was donated in the New Year of Kenmu 2 (1334). Monumental and rare this vintage sterling silver & amethyst bracelet was designed and signed circa 1930's by Mexico artist Frederick Davis (1880-1961). The bracelet measures 1 3/4" wide X 7" long. A wonderful ethnographic folk art object, this style of farm animal bell has been used in Thailand for centuries. Hand carved from wood by the herder and tied around the animals neck this traditional bell is hinged (or pegged) in 2 places to allow for a gentle knocking sound. Stunning Diamonds by Antonio Pineda is a published design in the Silver Seduction book of Mexican Silver by Stromberg. The height is 1 inch tall and the weight is 91 grams of thick silver. The 970 silver is silky soft. There are no cracks to the stones and the clasp closes with a crisp click. This one is more than rare and definitely belongs in a fine collection.

Bracelet Stamped CZECHO then SLO below that on one of the Arts Crafts look hammered Sterling Silver PLATED stations, 4 15mm bezel set Green Peking Glass Cabs with a same period old clasp marked STER, that being undoubtedly a replacement and the ONLY part that is indeed sterling. Cabs are in very nice condition with one having a tiny pink and another a dark area where some other color glass cane must have been mixed when these old stones were poured. 7 1/2" x 3/8"

This vintage, handmade piece was designed by William Spratling in his earliest years in Taxco, Mexico. The tray measures 15" from handle to handle X 11 1/2". The wood is hand decorated with carvings of flowers and stars. The tin frame is also decorated with a design that is repeated along the interior of the wood. The tray is in beautiful condition with minor surface wear. One tiny nail head is missing along the frame but it doesn't affect stability.
