Description: An unique bottle vase of Northern Song Dynasty was applied with single black glaze. Intriguingly molded in double gourd shape with rope-twist handles, the bottle stands by its splayed and well-shaped foot ring. While the dark glaze being neatly trimmed to the lower half of the belly, the full ovoid body showed its original grey clay beneath. Dust-like incursions were obvious all over the surface when the glaze reflection was introspective and charming...
Late 19th or early 20th wedding headdress, decorated with kingfisher feather ornaments, glass beads, metal bells, pompons and silk flowers. H. 60 cm. , W. 25 cm. condition: age wear, missing parts and one broken glass ball.

An oblong piece of golden brown amber with carvings in relief of two flying bats among clouds. Each bat has the tassled end of a rope in its mouth; on this rope are three coins. Bats and coins both represent good fortune. A translucent blue Chinese glass bead (Ming period)comes with the amber.

The tea bowl was in oval shape with inverted mouth rim.
It was applied on the surface with dark brown, appearing black glaze on the surface.
The dense slip stopped evenly above the foot ring.

The figure is seated upon a recumbent "hou" (Buddhist lion-like creature) and she holds a ruyi scepter. Her elegant face has downcast eyes. A faintly visible impressed gourd form seal mark is on the back of her robe. A custom wood stand is included. The glaze is a warm, creamy, glossy ivory tone. 18th century or earlier...

Description: An exquisite conical Yaozhou bowl was molded with beautiful motifs of flowers and tendrils in the cavetto. Preserved in perfect condition, the bowl's foot ring was adhesive with kiln sands. Numerous bubbles were characteristically revealed in the glaze.
