A kyusu teapot with attrative, unctuous rust-orange highlighted opaque off-white Shino glaze. Two character artist's signature incised to the pottery body within a reserve in the glaze. Good condition save a miniscule flea bite to the flaze on the tip of the spout. Pot diameter about 5 1/4 inches. Cover diameter about 3 1/2 inches. Length including handle about 7 3/4 inches. Height to cover handle about 4 inches. 20th century.

fine and rare blue & white wine cup, well balance potted, decorated outside with three children playing, four characters mark inside the center "Yu Dhang Jia Zhi" within a single circle. Condition and glaze is excellent, no chips and no cracks, free from restoration. Very nice cup from private collection found in South Sulawesi area. Ming dynasty 16th-17th century. Diameter: 5.8 cm and High: 4.2 cm

A nice famille jaune bat motive tea cup. It has a Tonzhi seal mark both on the cover and the base of the cup and is of the period.

A minor manufacturing flaw on the cover (photo 2)and five hair lines as shown in the photos 4 and 5. two with stain and the other can be seen at certain angle only. Other than that, it is in fine condition, no chip or repair.

The height of the tea cup is 9cm and the diameter is 11.2cm

Made of red pottery, covered with a white slib on which the painting was applied. Some of the pigments are still remaining. H. 34 cm. Condition: very good, no traces of repair, although repairs are very common and accepted on archaeological pieces. There is paint loss and there is soil stuck to the figure. On the inside there are the remains of plant roots. A TL-test from Laboratory Kotalla confirms the authenticity of this piece. We bought three fat ladies that came from the same tomb...

A large dish with slightly out-turned rim decorated in underglaze blue with Lin Bu ( Lin Hejing) Rinnasei the famous Northern Song poet, scholar and recluse feeding a Crane, perhaps He Gao, set against a Pine Tree within a garden fence...

A square bottle vase by one of the most sought after and influential of all Japanese ceramic artists, Kawai Kanjiro (b. 1890), enclosed in the original kiri box signed by the master, which we have had authenticated at the Kawai Kanjiro Memorial Museum (now endorsed on the top by his daughter, Kyoha). The pale crackle glazed vase dates circa 1935, and is decorated with flower like dabs of rust and cobalt typical of this period, with dark iron fading out from the square mouth and base...

Qingbai ewer with moulded phoenix decoration; bluish white glaze stopping above the base which is concave and unglazed. Yuan Dynasty 13th-14th Centuries. Height = 10 cm, Width=12 cm. Condition : handle restored, other original yuan lid.

A unique piece of zitan wood used as a sample for the scholar's woodworker. This piece is unusual as it shows a very light color of the zitan wood which is probably close to the bark area. There are two holes drilled in the piece for attaching a string for hanging. This piece weighs 550 grams. This is a great item for the zitan collector. Size: L.17.3cm. W.10.3cm. H.2.4cm. Condition: No repairs.

Description: A Longquan ewer was mold in a lovely size.
Being applied with characteristic celadon glaze, the ewer was exquisitely mold in a typical shape of a handled ewer pot.
The ewer stands by a well shaped foot ring which the revealed body clay was in pale gray tint when the charming firing-red was obviously developed.
The celadon glaze is beautiful and milky condition were obvious too.
In a lovely size and great glaze condition, incursions were nevertheless happened to the spout...

Honda Tenjo enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Seven Great Men. Ink on paper in a superlative silk mounting with ivory rollers (they will be changed if exporting). It is 26 x 85-1/2 inches (66.5 x 217 cm) and is in excellent condition. Honda Tenjo (1867-1946), born in Tokyo, initially studied western painting for five years under Kondo Katsumi before moving to Nihonga under Kano Hogai. Along with Okakura Shusui and Oka Fuho was to be called the four pillars of the Hogai Studio...

A very finely decorated cloisonne enamel bowl depicting, on the outside, two confronting five clawed dragons, over waves, in pursuit of a flaming pearl and, on the inside, an impressive Imperial style dragon. This item was made in China circa 1890 to 1920 probably during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - excellent - no losses, damages or restoration...

A nice one blue & white jar in globular form, decorated with grapes and tendrils, a character of "Fu" mark to the base. Condition is perfect, unfortunate only with missing lid. Ming dynasty 16th century Jiajing period. Wide: 9cm and High: 7.1cm.

This is a very finely potted Northern Song (960 A.D – 1130 A.D) dynasty qingbai or yingqing zhadou vessel with an aqua sea greenish glazed. It stands on a flat base curving towards a deep baluster or bulbous body towards an everted wide flared mouth. zhadou are commonly used as refuse vessels placed on banqueting table as receptacles for fish or meat bones. Nice pooling of sea green colour at the neck and base of the zhadou.

There is no repair or restoration, chips or glaze fritting...

A nice blue & white circular box, decorated in the top with "Qilin" surrounded by emblems. Mark on the base. Ming dynasty 16th century, Jiajing period. Condition is perfect except tiny kiln chip to rim, otherwise is excellent. Diameter: 8.5 cm

Lovely lacquerware inro, decorated with fish an seashells. With a coral ojime and a carved cinnabar lacquer netsuke. Meiji period (1868-1912). Signed at the bottom. Measurements: the inro 6x5,5 cm, the netsuke 3x2 cm.
