A nicely carved jade pendant with an unusual shape copying the Western Zhou style. Lots of intricate carving on this piece. This is most likely an old jade but I can't date it. Size: W. 8.2cm. H.4.2cm. Condition: No breaks or repairs. Some wear.

Description: A tripod bronze censer was in elegant shape. Supported by three slender feet, the oval belly was well molded. In pure black patina which was caused from long time of age, the censer was in rarely found simple form. In quite good weight, it was made of very good bronze, and a unique scholar item full of taste that no one should miss. Date: Ming Dynasty (AD1368-1644), Height: 11cm

A nicely carved jade pig done in the Han style.Pigs represent prosperity and jade pigs were were placed in the hands of the deceased. Many jade pigs were used for this purpose in later times and are sometimes mistaken for Han pieces. Size: L.10cm. H. 2.8cm. W. 2.3cm. Condition: No chips. Some calcification.

A nicely carved mythical beast or cute animal in the recumbent position. There is a hole through the mouth for hanging. As for the age, I will date it as a Song piece, but it could also be from the Southern & Northern Dynasties. It is hard to date jade as many Dynasties copied from past dynasties. Size: L. 5cm. W. 2cm. H. 2cm. Condition: No chips or repairs.

Chinese late Qing to early Republic period ceramic modeled container shaped like a "ha ma," or toad, with a hollow body and flat base covered in a monochrome pearl glaze with a seeded finish. Measures about 10 ½”L x 9 ¼”W x 6”H. There are some old surface cracks visible. The back section appears to have been restored and the gray areas in the pearl glaze appear to be old restorations which were executed in China...

Opium smoking set consisting of a tray with handles, a lamp (or burner) and two small dishes. The tray with five compartments, three of them closable with a hardwood lid and bronze knobs in the form of sitting foo lions. The lamp, dishes and the outside of the tray made of gilt copper and with decoration of mille fleur in colored cloisonne enamel. The partition and underside worked in hardwood, resting on four hemispheric feet...

A burl wood peach tassel with a glass beaded ornament. The peach is a tremendous Chinese symbol for longevity as well as other auspicious attributes. Size: Peach. L.2.6cm. W. 2.5cm. Glass. L. 5cm.

This is a Song dynasty qingbai appliqué dragon funerary vase in high relief. It has a short splay foot rim, then everted upward to a u-shaped body with a slight tilted wide shoulder and with a finger pinched moulded rim. From the center of the shoulder rises a long neck winding upward edges, like the ancient tower of Babylon, towards what looks like a garlic head rim. It has a five claws dragon coiling round the neck of the vase chasing after the flaming pearl in the sky...

This is a Yuan dynasty celadon vase with a three claws dragon and a phoenix motif flying in the sky. The phoenix is very elegantly engraved with a beautiful body, with a pair of wide spreading wings and with the tail floating in the sky. The celadon vase stands on a short splay shallow recessed foot rim...

Description: A northern stoneware was intriguingly applied with russet oil-spots glaze. In a lovely size, the bowl was molded regularly in well proportion. While with a charming glaze effects on the inner and outer surface, the bowl’s foot ring was unglazed and was revealed with the meticulously applied protection coating on the body clay. The sandy-feel protection slip cracked in some way and reveal the white clay underneath. Date: Jin to Yuan period(13th-14th century) Width: 8.2cm.

Description: A black-glazed tea bowl was uniquely shaped in a stout way. Molded by a narrowed wall, the foot had a rolled ring at the bottom. Having been cleaned professionally though, the luster of the glaze was retrospective when subtle brownish tint was amid the evenly applied black glaze. Date: Jin to Yuan period, Provenance: Tinlin kiln Fujiang Province. Width: 11.5cm, Height: 5.7cm.

An intricate age darkened Keyaki (elm) carving of two dragons vying for dominance in a sea of clouds, glass eyes glowing softly in the rich red wood. Dating from the later 19th century, the carving is 49 inches (125 cm) long, 4 x 1-1/2 inches (9.5 x 3.5 cm). It is overall in fine condition with some inevitable abrasions due to time. The tennons on both ends indicate this was made to be inserted between two pillars, and was likely the transom over a Buddhist altar.

A 19th century (early Meiji) period Buddhist image we believe to be a thousand armed version of Yakushi Nyorai accompanied by two sages carved entirely of fragrant sandalwood on a gilded wooden base. The group is in total 15-1/2 inches (39 cm) tall, the image alone 5-1/2 inches (14 cm) tall. Both sages are missing an arm, as well as one lotus blossom rising from the wave patterned base. The holy figure itself also once had a greater number of arms, which have been lost over the last 150 years...

Description: A small incense burner like this one are often called as "fondling censer" by local connoisseurs. From its lovely size, people can easily put it in palms to feel the warmth and enjoy the aroma emitted from the burning Chen-Xan (high-class incense). By its crackled condition, the retrospective luster of the glaze and the obvious reddish tint on the unglazed grey body clay, this Longquan censer can be easily dated as a Ming piece...

Description: A jade pendant was carved with motifs of dragons (one on each end) amid scrolling cloud. By the elegant style, the jade piece is preserved in excellent condition except for some incursions on the surface.From the typical off-white jade quality, the style of the motifs and the characteristics of the carved lines and the size, the piece is dated as from Late Ming to Early Qing period(15th-16th century). Length:9.1cm, Width: 4.5, Depth: 0.5cm.
