It stands on a small flat base rising to a octagonal shaped body and then towards a straight short neck and small mouth rim. The body is divided into three horizontal sections. This baluster form vase is quite large by Japanese standards at 14 inches (35 cm) tall and in perfect condition. Chrysanthemums decorate the sides in rich, dark blue. The name Kozan was granted by Prince Yasui-no-Miya in 1851 in honor of the tea ware produced during the later Edo for the imperial Court by the tenth generation head of the Kyoto pottery family Miyagawa Chozo...

This Chinese winter court officials hat has an elaborate gold acorn finial, silk velvet brim, and red silk tassels. The black chin strap cord is tied with a double adjusting slip knot. The hat is in good condition.

This antique Chinese necklace has an ornately detailed large Kylin as the central medallion. The medallion is 3.5 inches across and there are are five decorative chains hanging from it. Each of these chains ends with a fruit. The low grade silver used for the necklace is typical of the Chinese silver used in old China. The Kylin is a Chinese mythical animal.

Finely crackled which glaze covers this late Meiji Chinese inspired form clearly stamped inside the footring Tozan Ito Tozan. There is an incredible sense of mastery in the concise lines and perfectly sculpted form. It is 13 inches (33 cm) tall, 10 inches (26 cm) diameter and in excellent condition, enclosed in an older custom made wooden box.

Description: A black Jianyang Temmoko tea bowl of Song Dynasty was intriguingly transformed into a whitish tint by natural burial's incursion. In typical black body of Jianyang kiln, the tea bowl was applied with shear black glaze before being affected by the incursion. In a still slippery feel on the surface, the rare bowl showed itself a charming piece. A similar piece was in a loan exhibition from MOA Japan at The Museum of Fujiang Province. Description: An elegant celadon water basin of Longquan kiln was molded in beautiful shape. Cutting plum flowers were stick around the upper portion of the basin and at the lower portion around the foot ring. Whitish incursions and burial earth were reserved on the glaze surface when obvious brownish firing effect was at the unglazed clay. A beautiful Longquan piece was applied with fatty milky celadon glaze which was usually seen for pieces from Yuan Dynasty...
