Description:

A black-glazed Cizhou jar was uniquely decorated on the surface with ribbed lines.
It was a characteristic type of jars of Cizhou wares.
More uniquely, there are Chinese characters "Chang" which most likely as Chinese last names were inscribed on both loops.
They were finished by ribbed techniques.
Accordingly of the names, the jar was believed a custom-made ware by noble people.
It was a more valuable piece then.

Large Chinese Qing dynasty Qianlong period hexagonal form Yixing pottery tea caddy or canister. The flat panels are decorated with four moulded vertical stylized "dan" (tranquility) characters flanked by two bats each, symbolizing happiness and joy. The curved shoulder is encircled with small, impressed flowers. The bottom corners extend onto short, flat feet along the edge of the base. Two panels from a multipart Chinese ink and color on silk painting after Ding Yunpeng (active 1584-1638). The first Signed “Nanyu Ding Yunpeng” and with two red seals. Measures 94.5”V (85.5”V excluding mounting) x just under 23”H. 19th century or earlier. Very good overall condition. A pair of mythical animals (mother and child) of a creamy jade color. It has small areas of natural brown, light orange and grey coloration and inclusions. The jade is beautifully carved and feels lovely to the touch. The curled tail of the smaller animal forms a round hole which enables a thin rope to be put through it. Absolutely endearing. Large Chinese famille rose porcelain jardiniere with wide mouth and flattened rim enameled in bright pigments with a figural scene extending around the circumference. Diaper pattern band below rim. Unglazed foot and base. Original drain hole and plug. Late Qing dynasty (19th century) to possibly early Republican period. 13"H x 15 1/4" diameter. Weighs about 15 lbs. Very good overall condition with no chips or cracks. Some soiling to the interior from use.

Description:

A black-glazed Zadou was mold in decent form.
In nice proportion, the ware was stand on a foot ring which revealed with beige-tinted body clay.
The glaze on the surface was in greasy feel and was yielded with charming wrinkled results due to age.

Being carved as a lion crouching on top, the jade seal was intringuingly left a minute hole between the legs for hanging. Description:

A Ding-Typed porcelain censer was applied with darken brownish nearing black glaze.
Well crackled, the glaze was reflected retrospective sheen for verifying the enduring age.
By shallow profile and stand with three nicely mold feet, the censer was added with two arched loops on the mouth rim.
The paste revealed inside the censer and under the bottom was in light-buff tint and was in soft –feel quality.
A dimpled glaze condition was on the side...
