Description:

A black-glazed Cizhou jar was uniquely decorated on the surface with ribbed lines.
It was a characteristic type of jars of Cizhou wares.
More uniquely, there are Chinese characters "Chang" which most likely as Chinese last names were inscribed on both loops.
They were finished by ribbed techniques.
Accordingly of the names, the jar was believed a custom-made ware by noble people.
It was a more valuable piece then.

Made from palm fronds, this male seminole indian doll is from the late 1940's. He is wearing the traditional costume and excellant condition except that he is missing his traditional hat. He is 7.5 inches tall with an adorable face and black short hair.

Large Chinese Qing dynasty Qianlong period hexagonal form Yixing pottery tea caddy or canister. The flat panels are decorated with four moulded vertical stylized "dan" (tranquility) characters flanked by two bats each, symbolizing happiness and joy. The curved shoulder is encircled with small, impressed flowers. The bottom corners extend onto short, flat feet along the edge of the base. The lid is metal. 8” high x about 6” diameter. 18th century. Very good overall condition...

Two panels from a multipart Chinese ink and color on silk painting after Ding Yunpeng (active 1584-1638). The first Signed “Nanyu Ding Yunpeng” and with two red seals. Measures 94.5”V (85.5”V excluding mounting) x just under 23”H. 19th century or earlier. Very good overall condition. There is some soiling to the mount and the painting has some typical buckling, soiling, and wear. See item #1331946 for a description and images of the second panel...

A pair of mythical animals (mother and child) of a creamy jade color. It has small areas of natural brown, light orange and grey coloration and inclusions. The jade is beautifully carved and feels lovely to the touch. The curled tail of the smaller animal forms a round hole which enables a thin rope to be put through it. Absolutely endearing. Period: Early Ching (18th Century) Size: H = 1-3/4", W = 3-3/8"

Description: A nephrite jade pendant was carved as a tiger’s head. By a grayish tint, the jade piece was revealed with blackish incursions along the stone tissues and accompanied with ice crackles. They were all resulted from long time of burial. In adequate size, the jade piece was an ideal accessory in the past and in nowadays as well. Date: Ming Dynasty(15 Century), Dimensions: 3.8cm x 2.6cm x 1.2cm

Large Chinese famille rose porcelain jardiniere with wide mouth and flattened rim enameled in bright pigments with a figural scene extending around the circumference. Diaper pattern band below rim. Unglazed foot and base. Original drain hole and plug. Late Qing dynasty (19th century) to possibly early Republican period. 13"H x 15 1/4" diameter. Weighs about 15 lbs. Very good overall condition with no chips or cracks. Some soiling to the interior from use.

Description: An ivory toggle was in beautiful patina. The honey-brown coloured surface was spread with numerous crack lines which was due to hundreds of years of enduring age. Date: Ming Dynasty (15-16th century) Length: 5.2cm Width: 3.3cm Depth: 0.8cm.

Description:

A black-glazed Zadou was mold in decent form.
In nice proportion, the ware was stand on a foot ring which revealed with beige-tinted body clay.
The glaze on the surface was in greasy feel and was yielded with charming wrinkled results due to age.

Date: Northern Song Dynasty, 960-1127.

Description: An excavation jade seal was made from one nephrite Houtien pebble. Being carved as a lion crouching on top, the jade seal was intringuingly left a minute hole between the legs for hanging. In a charming yellowish-green tint, the jade piece was incursioned in parts to a calcification condition due to long time of burial. When in an enduring aged patina, the jade was overall in charming greasy look. A Chinese character " Ji" was carved as print. It is a metaphor word for good luck...

Description:

A Tin caddy was intriguingly made within a knarled wood trunk.
In nice form and casual mood, this tea caddy owned the very taste of Chinese scholars'.
Old patina was preserved well on the surface of the wood and the metal alike.

Date: Qing Dynasty, 19th century.

Chinese heavily potted late Qing dynasty Shiwan (Shekwan) earthenware globular form bud vase with small cylindrical mouth covered overall with a thick, Song dynasty style Jun-type glaze that stops well above the concave base. Circa late 19th to early 20th century. 4 ½” high x 4 ½” diameter. Very good overall condition. There is a light scratch or production flaw in the body at the base (see enlargements 4 and 8)...

Description:

A Ding-Typed porcelain censer was applied with darken brownish nearing black glaze.
Well crackled, the glaze was reflected retrospective sheen for verifying the enduring age.
By shallow profile and stand with three nicely mold feet, the censer was added with two arched loops on the mouth rim.
The paste revealed inside the censer and under the bottom was in light-buff tint and was in soft –feel quality.
A dimpled glaze condition was on the side...

Description: An unique tea caddy like this piece was made with an extraordinary wood trunk which is in a scholar rock's shape and was framed with pewter. It is a display piece as well as a tea holder. Date: Qing Dynasty (19th Century) Height: 14cm Condition: good with original lid when some glue work had been done to the pewter cap for restoration.

A jade of a chimera (mythical animal. The light grey-green nephrite jade has areas and spots of beige and dark brown natural that are to the stone. The animal is tilting its head to the left and is open-mouthed showing it's teeth and curled tongue. Period: Late Ming, Early Ching (17th/18th Century) Size: H = 3-1/2", Length = 5-3/4"

Description: An ancient wood Buddha was from Yuan Dynasty. Preserved well with original lacquered paint, the figure was in seating posture with serene atmosphere. By sleek carvings, the facial composition the wearing robe and the lotus pedestal were finely depicted as a mature traditional religious sculpture. Wood sculptures in this date were rarely found, especially when the ancient mood was kept so well by the natural condition...

A nice Tibetan 108 bone prayer beads with two leather counters from Lhasa. The bone is most likely yak bone. It has two turquoise spacers and silver counter. Acquired in Lhasa, Tibet over 15 years ago. Size: 40cm X 2.
