SOLD. Vintage brass rope framed open work figural celluloid oval pin marked DEPOSE FRANCE (patented in France) with trombone pin catch. Two celluloid layers of cut out detailed work create a 3D effect depicting a 19th century couple under a canopy in foreground and a fancy coach and coachman in background. This is a stylized ivory "donkey" handle corkscrew, having a finely carved donkey head with ears, mane and one glass eye, underside of handle has a carved arrow, marked STERLING silver repousse banding attached to brass corkscrew, very good condition with one eye missing and wear to silver banding. A fabulous hand hammered sterling and stone pin from the notable Chicago Arts & Crafts workshop Carence Crafters. Pieces from this workshop are scarce and highly collectible.They represent some of the finest handmade work from the American Arts & Crafts period ,1890-1920. This fine pin measures 1 5/8" by 1". A very rare and magnificent sterling and carved lapis pin by Mary Gage, American Arts & Crafts period c. 1930. The frame is a foliate motif encircling the oval carved lapis which is held in place by bead tipped silver wire prongs. This is a huge brooch measuring 3" by 2 1/4" and is solid and bold at 51 grams. Here we have a very pretty Charles Horner enameled pendant. It has Horner’s maker’s mark, as well as hallmarks for Chester, 1909-10. Japanese 20th century carved granite stone rabbit garden decoration. The rabbit is nicely carved with nice detail and expression. The rabbit stands 13 1/2" tall, 7" wide and is about 18 1/2" long. Carved from solid granite.
Japanese TAISHO Period carved wooden RANMA of dragon. The dragon is beautifully carved in high relief and with great detail. The back of the RANMA is also carved and has a rectangular placard with the inscription: TOKYO SHINTOMI-CHO, CHOUKOKU NIN, TAISHO SAN NEN NI GATSU, GOTO SUKEYOSHI, which translated means, Shintomi Town of Tokyo, presently the Ginza area of Tokyo, February of the 3rd year of Taisho (1915), carved by Goto, Sukeyoshi. The RANMA measures about 79" long, 12" tall and 6" thick.
