This is an extraordinary sterling bird pin/pendant by Salvador Teran. It is a magnificent example of his fascination with overlapping planes. The front feathers stand out in front of an oxidized background and the tail feathers move freely and swing. This is a large piece measuring 3 3/8" long and 1 3/8" wide. It is in fine original condition, weighs 26 grams, and hallmarked and numbered as shown. It is a remarkable example of this artists' imagination and creativity.

Amazing sun, moon and stars pin by William Spratling. There is a full page featuring this pin on page 57 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Berk and Morrill. They date it c. 1942. This is a huge and bold pin measuring 3" by 2". It is in beautiful original condition and appropriately signed for William Spratling as shown in the photo. An absolutely spectacular early Spratling pin.

William Spratling signed chain necklace is an early first phase masterpiece design. The necklace has a width of one inch and 5mm. thick. This beauty is fluid in it's motion and lays like a dream. It has a wearable length of 17.5in. The weight is 315 grams of almost pure silver which shows up as a very white silver. The ridge down the center of the chain adds great depth and dimension. A beautiful Mandarin square dating from the early Jiaqing period. A male back buzi with a silver pheasant bird, denoting the fifth civil rank. On dark silk entirely embroidered in Peking knot, blue silk lining. Reference: Ladder to the Clouds, Jackson & Hugus Berkeley 1999, Page 250 - No. 15.032 very similar badge. Condition: good - slightly impure, the back lining with some water stains. Dimensions: 29,2 cm high x 30,5 cm wide.

A nice small qingpai funerary powder box in the shape of the lotus flower in three small pod. The flowers petals has dropped off showing the base of the flowers.

In good condition with the exception of some expected abrasion and manufacturing faults as shown in the photographs. Some rough edges and minute sand grits on the cover. No damage, crack, chip or any restoration.

We have an unsigned beauty of obsidian drops and crafted of 114 grams of heavy silver to offer today. Jewels such as this one is truly rare and worth a spot in a collectors box even though signed only Mexico Silver. Standing 1 5/8ths inches tall it exudes an impressive presence. The patina is warm and natural. No dents, dings, chips or damage of any kind. There is a 17in. wearable for comfort, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Signed only Mexico 925 (sterling) and weighing in at 154 grams heavy is a unique bracelet. The closure and hinge are in superior condition and there are no dents or damage. I have no idea of the maker but they were talented with exacting skills of Carving and repousse of such combinations of dots, feathers, ribbed silver, deity and much more. I think this is one of the best bracelets I have seen or held. The size will handle at least up to a 7in. wrist...

By pure and greasy-feel quality, the jade was in mutton white and slight celadon tint.
Inscriptions of Guang-xu Nien Zhi (Made in Guang-xu reign)was found underside. They were well carved by regular scripts.
Motifs of a dragon and a phoenix were decorated on each side.

An extraordinary amethyst and silver bracelet by Fred Davis, c 193. The weight and mass of the large rectangular amethyst stones is complimented by the open design of the silver links. Offered is a complete Civil War Era traveling Doctor Medicine Case recently acquired from an estate in New Hampshire. Collected in 1944, this dance rattle (known as a vivang), comprised of nut pods (pangium edule), woven fiber and twine, is used in traditional dance ceremonies in the Malakula Islands of Vanuatu, formerly known as New Hebrides.
