This is an extraordinary sterling bird pin/pendant by Salvador Teran. It is a magnificent example of his fascination with overlapping planes. The front feathers stand out in front of an oxidized background and the tail feathers move freely and swing. This is a large piece measuring 3 3/8" long and 1 3/8" wide. It is in fine original condition, weighs 26 grams, and hallmarked and numbered as shown. It is a remarkable example of this artists' imagination and creativity.

Amazing sun, moon and stars pin by William Spratling. There is a full page featuring this pin on page 57 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Berk and Morrill. They date it c. 1942. This is a huge and bold pin measuring 3" by 2". It is in beautiful original condition and appropriately signed for William Spratling as shown in the photo. An absolutely spectacular early Spratling pin.

A beautiful Mandarin square dating from the early Jiaqing period. A male back buzi with a silver pheasant bird, denoting the fifth civil rank. A nice small qingpai funerary powder box in the shape of the lotus flower in three small pod. The flowers petals has dropped off showing the base of the flowers.

Signed only Mexico 925 (sterling) and weighing in at 154 grams heavy is a unique bracelet. The closure and hinge are in superior condition and there are no dents or damage. I have no idea of the maker but they were talented with exacting skills of Carving and repousse of such combinations of dots, feathers, ribbed silver, deity and much more. I think this is one of the best bracelets I have seen or held. The size will handle at least up to a 7in. wrist...

An extraordinary amethyst and silver bracelet by Fred Davis, c 193. The weight and mass of the large rectangular amethyst stones is complimented by the open design of the silver links. Collected in 1944, this dance rattle (known as a vivang), comprised of nut pods (pangium edule), woven fiber and twine, is used in traditional dance ceremonies in the Malakula Islands of Vanuatu, formerly known as New Hebrides.
