Large and very impressive yuteki oilspot tsubo by Kimura Yoshihiro, son of the legendary Kimura Morikazu and inheritor of the oil spot dynasty of his father and uncles; Moriyasu and Morinobu. Please note, this piece is made using traditional pourous white earthenware and a soft fritted glaze. Though it is food safe and functional, it is not intended for everyday use.

Classic and Momoyama inspired chaire in Oni-Shino style with a wide array of textures, varied coloration and a simple reed/pampas grass decoration carved through an iron-rich slip under a thick feldspathic glaze. The use of varying thicknesses of the Shino glaze not only accentuates the form but creates a moody and atmospheric appearance like mist clinging to a lakes edge. The lid is of excellent quality and was made to fit this chaire acting as a fitting accompaniment to the noble pot.

Very nice boxed Aka-Raku chawan with black reduction accents on the face of the bowl by an unidentified potter, circa 1990.

This chawan is in excellent condition, measures 5" X 3.5" and comes with its signed boxed.

Though I could not identify this potter, the box seal and seal on the chawan are an exact match. What I can say is that this is not an apocryphal mainline raku chawan and is not by Sasaki Shoraku, Ohi Choraku or some of the other usual suspects. Priced accordingly.
