Molten ash has crystallized into green glass on the front of this large faceted Chawan by Nishihata Tadashi enclosed in the original wooden box titled Aka-tsuchi OO Chawan recently-fired (2014) and signed Tamba Tadashi-Zo. The rest of the bowl, inside and out, is mostly raw Tamba clay, the red a striking contrast to the mottled flowing greens. Size,W 13.1cm H,11.1 cm (5-1/2 x 4-1/2 inches)

An amazing Tea Bowl by Yamada Kazu enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Enbu Shino Chawan. Evidencing the great value placed upon the work, it comes in a lacquered Niju-bako double wood storage box. Enbu means "dancing fire" and it is that dancing fire that pushed the clay and glaze of this chawan to the very limit where the glaze turned to molten glass and began to flow like lava down the sides and into the interior of this bowl...

Large haikaburi style mizusashi with areas of running green and blue-green ash running down the pot. This piece was made by veteran tea potter; Suzuki Hideo.
