This large, textured and incised Iga wood fired vessel is by multi-talented artist, Ohira Kazumasa (b.1943). This vase measures 15" tall and 7" at its widest and is in original condition with heavy texturing along the sides and incised decoration and ginirodori style overglaze on either side of the piece. The piece comes with its original signed wood box and was made for an exhibition in the late 1990's.

Serene and noble seihakuji koro by veteran and master potter Kishimoto Kennin. Published in an exhibition catalogue for a Takashimiya show (a xerox of the relevant pages are included) this seihakuji celadon koro is a classic example of Kishimoto's style and modernization of a traditional form.
