Porcelain Cube Bowl in the signature geometric style of Korean contemporary ceramic artist, Lee Min Kyu. The sides of the bowl seem to rise up straight, yet they flare outward ever so slightly. This bowl makes a great set when combined with the Lee Min Kyu Porcelain Vase (Stock #0387), as seen in the last photo here. Width: 9.5 inches, 24 cm; Height: 4.5 inches, 11.25 cm.

A superb example of the flame licked works of innovative Hagi artist Yamato Tsutomu enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Hagi Kohiki Honosai Yonmen Hosoguchi Hanaire. It is 32.5 cm (13 inches) tall and in excellent condition.
Yamato Tsutomu was born the second son of Yamato Yasuo, the man who brought Hagi into the 20th century, in 1965. He graduated the Yamaguchi University of Arts in 1988...

Tagami Isamu was born in 1947 in Mooka, a village neighboring to Mashiko. He married into the Sudo family and apprenticed under Sudo Takeo. He was originally trained as a Japanese chef and had his own restaurant before embarking on a career in pottery, giving him a unique perspective on functional wares...

Born in Seto, Aichi Prefecture in 1900, Kato Hajime embarked on a remarkable journey in the realm of ceramics...

Evocative blue decorated henko bottle vase with fluid brush decoration and sgrafitto decoration prominently signed; SEIRAN. The cobalt decoration sits on an almost ash style glaze with spots of blushed areas, similar to Hagi pottery. I have not been able to find out anything about the potter, but the brushwork and use of space suggests a full time potter, used to working in this particular style.

This henko is in perfect condition with its original signed box and measures 8" X 8.5" x 6".

Haiyu ash and Temmoku glazed teabowl with combed (kushime) slip decoration. The droozy haiyu glaze has an iridescent appearance with moss like effects running down the surface

This is an amazing work of art, a quashed flaring bucket form covered in hi-iro flame color and natural ash glaze with large silver repairs by Shigaraki legend Tsuji Seimei enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Yohen Mizusashi. Fired on its side, the piece has warped slightly in the conflagration, flying ash and embers settling on the inside opposite where it has adhered to the kiln floor, apparent as a large kutsuki above a large silver repair...

Rich rivulets of stunning green crystallize on the surface of this tokkuri sake-bottle by important Mino artist Hayashi Kotaro enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The bottle is roughly 6 inches (15.5 cm) tall and in excellent condition.
Kotaro was born in Gifu prefecture, and graduated the prefectural ceramic facility...

A perfect example of why Tsujimura Shiro is one of Japans most popular artist. Everything you could want in firing effects decorate the various sides of this work enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Iga Mimitsuki Mizusashi. Bidoro, Tombo-no-me, tobi-hai, shiseki…the surface is an exploration of kiln affects, every slight turn bringing new surprises...

Bizen ware has been made from 16th century for 500 years and well known as one of 6 old kilns in Japan. At the Bizen kilns, no artificial glaze is used and expressions are by just effects of burning fire woods. The effects are by flame and clay and by ashes...

Form and void are everything with Wada Akira, and this piece is a fine example of that idea...
