A striking pair of 14k yellow gold, mabe pearl and diamond pierced earrings, centered with approximately 16mm mabe pearl surrounded by rubies and diamonds arranged in an alternating pattern.. The rubies have a medium tone and are slightly pinkish red. Attached to the back of each earring is a pierced post and omega clip back. This beautiful pin / brooch by Askel Holmsen has a diameter of 1 1/8". It is sterling vermeil with vivid, yellow enamel (basse-taille or guilloche) with a great design. The back is marked NORWAY STERLING, the Holmsen maker's mark / hallmark NORWAY STERLING 925 S,” and has the Holmsen maker’s mark which looks like 2 interlocking, horizontal V's: the are actually 2 overlapping silversmith tools. The brooch has a C-catch and a diameter of 1”. It is in superb condition. c 1950s
This beautiful ring is just under a size 6 (perhaps 5.75). It has a lovely foliate design topped off 3 flowers with prong set, very colorful opals inside. The band is marked 10K and MCO with a maker's mark with which I am unfamiliar. It has good heft and is in excellent condition.
