Difficult to describe, but this sort of imagery is popular, similarsold along the Venice, California boardwalk and elsewhere by enterprising artists. Some of the white spatter seems to be sprayed on. Beautifully executed by an unknown but obviously talented artist is this 10" by 8" oil on canvas of a seated woman draped in fabric, against a darker drape background. The work is contemporary. It was found unframed and for illustration purposes I have "married" it to a frame that somewhat fits it, however, the frame is marginally unsuitable because it is a bit shallow for an oil painting's stretcher...

Small contemporary painting on canvas, 10" by 10", unframed. The work seems to be in mixed media, the yellows particular appearing to be gouache, the green strokes shiny, the remainder of the painting flat. A decorative piece.

I cannot make out the signature, and do not know if it be simply by an amateur of considerable talent, or perhaps, by a known artist? The signature most definitely has a professional look to it.

Oil on canvas good-sized painting, 21" by 29", (29" by 36 1/2" in gold frame), the subject a small lake or pond with adjacent floral bloom, almost as in a botanical garden or groomed park, that bloom reflected beautifully in the water, signed at lower left by the late California artist KASANDRA F. MARTELL (1925-2019). Martell was born near Mexico City and by the late 1950's was very entrepreneurial for a woman of her day with four children...

A contemporary American painting of a tabby cat next to a vase with flowers, 13 1/2" by 10 3/4" (16" by 13" in white frame), signed at lower right RS and dated there 2008. The artist was a talented amateur but he/she has created an attractive and coordinated scene in black, white, gray and blue. The frame has some smudges that come off with some rubbing and there are a few corner chips.

Acrylic on canvas contemporary painting of palms, depicted in yellow, pinkish-red and greenish-blue against an electric blue background, 18" by 24", unframed, signed at lower right by the artist, Shannon Casey. This is a nicely decorative, breezy work that will surely add a touch of the tropics to your interior. There are a very few minor spots of soiling or abrasion that hardly detract from the overall effect.
