Percival Gaskell, Etching, "In the Garden," This very fine impression with its deep rich tones measures 11 3/4 x 7 3/4 inches, c. 1930. Presented on cream wove paper, this original drypoint has wide margins with a sheet size of 15 1/2 x 10 1/4 inches and is pencil signed on the lower border. Born in England and educated in Cambridge, Gaskell studied art in London and Italy before studying under Sir Frank Short at the Royal College of Art.

Sir William Russell Flint 1880-1969 British This is a scarce original drypoint etching by British artist William Russell Flint. The title is: "Eve", it was created and printed in 1930. The image measures 7 1/4X10 1/8 inches. Signed in a sepia ink lower border, printed on an antique laid type paper, identified in the artists hand as from 1753. This image is numbered as LXVI. A group of three etchings of New York City subject matter, each pencil signed and titled by the artist LEON LOUIS DOLICE (1892-1960). The three titles are "Fish Market", "Metropolitan Tower", and "NJ Waterfront". "Metropolitan Tower" is the largest, the printed area measuring 10 1/4" by 7 1/4"; the other two are 7 1/2" by 6" (printed area). Interestingly the prints are all printed off-center or otherwise at irregular angles on the sheets...

Etching in medium brown ink on very delicate tissue-like Japan paper, the subject identified at lower left margin as "Robert Louis Stevenson House", pencil signed at lower right by the important Caifornia plein air artist MARY DeNEALE MORGAN (1868-1948). The subject is a circa 1830's adobe from the Mexican era, which sheltered many visitors to Monterey over the decades, including, in 1879, the writer Robert Louis Stevenson. Today the structure is part of Monterey State Historic Park...
