From our Southeast Asia Collection, a large and very attractive Indonesian tribal mask, crafted from a dark hardwood we think is either teak or some other rosewood variant, inlaid with mother of pearl or shell. They craft a lot of masks in different versions in Bali, but the more frequently encountered version you see there is a much smaller but heavily painted multicolor style, that we tend to find a bit gaudy...

Patrice's giraffe has personality! And, he and his 17" necklace are made of wonderful materials: apple turquoise, Bavarian glass, red coral, Mojave green turquoise and 24K gold plate on brass. We just found out that this buckle was designed by Denez for the Autumn/Winter 1970 Yves Saint Laurent season. We found examples from the same series in the book, "Yves Saint Laurent Accessories," by Patrick Mauries. The buckle measures 4 x 5" (10.5 x 12.5 cm). It is made to hold a 2" (5.5 cm) wide belt and has it s original attachment piece. Art Nouveau in style with bronze, copper and gilt tones, it reminds me of some of the metro stations in Paris...

This is a substantial Valentino lucite & gilt metal necklace. It measures 19 3/4" (50.5cm) long from the hook to the last ring in the chain. Each of the orange lucite pieces are 1 3/8" ((4cm) long.. They measure a hair more than 1" (3cm) across the top and 1 5/8" (4.5cm) at the bottom. They are about 1/4" (.6cm) thick. The gilt metal spacers are separated from each lucite piece by a gold bead.. IFrom around 1985, it looks to be in unworn condition...

Massive and spectacular, this YSL linked bracelet has a slightly industrial feel. It is 8" (20.6 cm) long, not including the tongue, and 1 1/8" (3.2 cm) wide. The charcoal gray metal half-circle links are 7/16" (2.3 cm) high and are each 7/8" (2.6 cm) long. Typical of Patrice's fine design, always rich in the use of semi-precious stones, this pendant necklace and earrings is a beautiful example of her work. In this set she uses serpentine jade, Chinese turquoise, tiger iron jasper, hsiu jade, vintage German glass and brass. This Yves Saint Laurent bracelet is full of fun. Black glass beads intersperse with both solid and filigree gold metal beads attached to three braided silk cords. The bracelet, itself is 7 1/2" (19.5 cm) long. The three ties at each end have beads attached & are 5" (13.1 cm) long. There is a YSL tag at the end of one of the ties. From around 1990, it is in perfect condition.
