This hard cover coffee table book is tight and clean however the dust jacket is tattered. A small stain is also at the bottom of the front beige linen board. Wonderful B&W photos that capture that period in time.

A triple Mercury dime punch out gilt silver pin 1917. This stamped Liberty head gilt silver pin comprises three 1917 American Mercury silver dimes. Each coin is "punched out" with high relief Liberty heads with excellent detail, and they are soldered together, gilded, and mounted with a brass c-clasp pin. It is unsigned, and such vintage embossed coins are eagerly collected. This pin weighs 8.0 grams, and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

Aubrey Beardsley The Yellow Book with 3 volumes available (priced each). This is a group of three of the famous English illustrated quarterly called The Yellow Book. This late 19th century series featured art, essays, discussions, poetry and criticism. They were 8-1/4 x 7" hardbacks in yellow and featured artistic cover illustrations as well as inserted plates, including illustrations by Aubrey Beardsley and others...

"On Heroes, Hero~ Worship and the Heroic in History" written by Thomas Carlyle and published by Frederick A. Stokes (NY) in 1893. Former library copy. The end papers have stamps and there is a label and mark on the spine otherwise in acceptable condition.

Each volume measures 10-3/4 x 7-3/4" in their limited clothbound slip cases. Volume 1 has 65 tipped-in colour plates and 264 pages; it is near mint inside and out with only the faintest traces of rubbing on the edges of the book and case and not enough to drop it from a solid MINT rating.
