An albumen photograph circa 1880 of a man feeding a group of dogs gathered at his feet. In the lower left printed in the negative, Abdullah Freres. 515” and in the lower right, “Les Chiens des rues.” The image is 7 7/8 inches (20 cm) by 10 1/8 inches (25.7 cm). It is presently corner mounted in a large mat 17 inches (43 cm) by 14 inches (35.5 cm). The tones are rich and the contrast good.

A triple Mercury dime punch out gilt silver pin 1917. This stamped Liberty head gilt silver pin comprises three 1917 American Mercury silver dimes. Each coin is "punched out" with high relief Liberty heads with excellent detail, and they are soldered together, gilded, and mounted with a brass c-clasp pin. It is unsigned, and such vintage embossed coins are eagerly collected. This pin weighs 8.0 grams, and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

A lovely little book written by Booth Tarkington and with colored illustrations by Ruth Sypherd Clements. The red linen boards feature a blind stamped holly design and gilt lettering. Published by Harper & Brothers 1909. Copyright page indicates October 1909 (unstated first edition). The illustrations are crisp and the booth is in fine condition.
