Tall Czech Amphora art deco 2 handled pottery vase featuring enameled ostriches and palm trees set against a textured matte ground. The backside had a very art deco design, perhaps a stylized flower? In excellent, it measures 16 inches high. More photos available upon request.

A nice little Japanese hinged box featuring birds, baskets, and flowers. In excellent condition, it measures 2.25” wide x 1.5” deep x 1” high. Dates 1st quarter 20th C

Mathieu Matégot basket tray, perforated sheet metal and brass. France, 1950’s. Diameter "9 / 23 cm. Condition: slight wear, consistent with age, and a few retouches to the black lacquer visible when lit at an angle (cf. pics).

Cut and Etched Floral Frog, Flower arrangement bowl with removable silver plated grill, Ca. 1940's, 10" diameter for flower pedal fluted rim, 4" high, high quality cut and etched flowers and leaves decoration covers for the entire wide fluted rim and silver plated grill is fitted into nicely. The condition is good.

Koryo dynasty celadon bowl. The exterior with white and black slip inlaid decoration of chrysanthemum roundels within double rings and a scrolling vine pattern the interior with an upper scrolling pattern with 4 floral sprays. The olive green glaze pooling to blue-green and burned in the kiln to a drab tone on a portion of the exterior. 12th to 13th century. Good condition. Diameter 8 inches . Height almost 2 1/2 inches

Pair Korean Scholar's Book Chests, four(4) claws Korean Dragon and Phoenix Bird are battling in the flame, inlaid with Mother of Pearl, twisted Brass and faux tortoise shell, 41" high, 27" wide, 12 1/2" deep each in the background of dark brown lacquer with gold powder sparkling finish. Inlaid design of the wings of Phoenix Bird and Dragon are spread out into both sides, and the back is plain dark brown lacquer finish. Whole Book Chest supported by scrolling feet, shows continuous inlaid work...

Czechoslovakian(modern Czech Republic) Porcelain underglaze Blue Onion pattern Meat Hammer, Meat Tenderizer, Meat Mallet, 11 1/2" long, with wooden handle, the condition is good.

Three(3) Japanese Salt and Pepper Shakers, shape of Sweet Pepper, Ca. 1940, 1 1/2" high, 2 1/4" x 1 1/2" wide, with Cork stoppers and marked "Japan" in red on the bottom. The condition is good.

Marine material netsuke of an owl sitting on a tree stump with new branches and leaves. Excellent quality detailed carving, wonderful face with somewhat puzzled expression, beautiful depiction of differentiated feathers, pleasant patina, eyes are inlaid with black horn. Signed MASAMITSU on the bottom, wonderful netsuke by a master carver. Height 1 5/8 inches.

Japanese kappazuri (stencil) print by the artist Yoshitoshi Mori depicting a scene with many figures, a group of samurai warriors on horseback and other figures wheeling provisions on a cart. The scene is printed in black with blue and light cream color details. Signed and dated 1972 in pencil. Number 17 of 50 in the series. Framed and with non-glare glass.

Large and impressive French Art Deco vase by Robert Lallemant (1902-1954), circa 1928-1930. Almost black iridescent glaze. Fully signed: "T.R.Lallemant" and inscribed "France". 14 3/4" tall. In excellent condition. Robert Lallemant was an important French ceramicist of the period, as well as a furniture designer (he created furniture for the UAM--Union des Artistes Modernes) and all around designer and photographer.

Chinese wooden Rice Cake Mold with Lotus Seed design, Ca. 1930, 9 1/2" long, 3 3/4" wide-widest part, hand saw mark, the condition is used old worn out and patina on wood.

Four(4) Japanese Wooden Straw Mat or Tatami Mat Weaving Weights, Ca. 1930, 6 1/4" long, 1 1/2" diameter for various wood were used, and tied with Straw Rope, one(1) replaced with modern white Nylon rope, used for weaving for many years. The condition is worn and warm rounded patina on wood.

Cambridge Decagon Pink Handled Tort is 10" across and about 5.5" high at the handle (keyhole). Decagon was made in the 1930's.
