Beautiful piece of the Edo Period of Japanese design

Orrefors Fishgraal (Graal) vase, circa 1954. Large crystal vase with fish swimming in pond with pond weed. Rarer, near spherical form. Signed ORREFORS/Graal No. 1159 H/Edward Hald. Offered is this beautiful set of six glass stems, made by Bimini Werkstette, around 1930. Each glass is just under 6 inches (15 cm) tall and they are in very good condition. Offered is this beautiful and rare two-color (bottom part with bubbles) Murano glass vase, made by Barbini, around 1950. The vase is very heavy. It is 10 1/4 inches (26 cm) high and 9 1/4 inches (23,5 cm) wide. It is in very good condition, without chips, cracks or repairs. It is signed, 'Brrbini Murano' in script (see picture). A similar Barbini vase was sold by Skinner's on December 15, 2012 (see last two pictures for your reference).

Two beautiful Quezal and Durand iridescent art glass vases made around 1925. Both vases are signed on their polished pontils and both vases are in excellent condition (there is an etched, 'V' on the body of the Durand vase - it might be the first initial of Victor Durand). Czech Art Deco zoomorphic 1930’s swan-form decanter by Karel Palda. Hand-blown glass body and handle with a silver plated head having a flip top pour spout. It is marked Czechoslovakia on lid hinge. In excellent vintage condition, it measures 12" high.

This is an antique Chinese ink painting of young bamboo in fan form on silk done in shades of black ink with 3 seals in red. This is a lovely rendering, with subtle brush work as well as decisive strong definition.

Condition: This painting is old and exhibits the normal signs of aging. Visible wear and discolouration on the ribs, with some minor foxing throughout. No tears or missing pieces.

From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), a fine vintage Afghani tribal rug, wool on wool handmade construction, using exclusively natural pigments / mineral dyes. A modestly sized but very well-executed and elegant example that works well in either a rustic or formal decor.

A spectacular Murano glass epergne, made probably by Archimede Seguso, around 1950. The epergne is 12 1/4 inches (31 cm) tall, with a bottom width of 9 inches (23 cm) and a top-width of 4 1/2 inches (12 cm). In fine condition. Unsigned, as expected.

Large green stoneware model of a standing horse, done in Tang style, covered in a rich crackled green glaze, on an integral rectangular base. The base is unusual having a central piercing & being built up rather than simply flat as in the originals.

Age: Pre 1920

Condition: Good overall condition, some small areas of chipping and one corner on the base has a chip. On the upper back of the horse is the remains of a Jian Ding seal.

Chinese double gourd vase painted in famille rose with a design of plum rose flowers against a cracked ice design in gilt. The top of the vase bordered in a light blue wave border, with the middle in lotus petals with a border base again in light blue and light aubergine. The inside glazed white. The base glazed white with a six character underglaze blue Qianlong mark.

Unique Chinese carved rock crystal double carp snuff bottle. This snuff bottle features two carps reaching upwards against a sea wave base. The smaller carp with it's mouth open and the larger carp with a rock crystal stopper in it's mouth. The double carp is a symbol in Chinese mythology for a happy union in marriage.

This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in the late 1950s. It has the name of the artist, F. Heidenreich, impressed in the base. Outstanding weather vane with a figure of a male golfer preparing to tee off. The vane is constructed of cast white metal with a coppery brown painted finish. The vane is attributed to be from the clubhouse of an American golf and country club built in 1935.

This silver overlay vase was produced in Germany by Friedrich Spar & Company around 1930. Except for a number 21 in red it is not signed but we are certain of its origin. The vase measures 7 inches in diameter. The art deco design is Asian inspired with pink flowers and branches spreading around the porcelain. The ground color is medium blue which contrasts so beautifully with the pink blossoms. The silver work is elaborate. Condition: Excellent
