Condition: Excellent. On the back, two spots of tape residue.
Sengakuji is a Buddhist Temple in Tokyo. It houses the graves of The 47 Ronin.

Japanese Kiri wood and lacquered floral decorated Hibachi with copper lining, 9 1/4" high, 10 1/4" diameter-outside, and 5" high, 8 1/4" diameter-inside polished copper liner, with 3" wide Lacquer band on the lower area. Low relief lacquer decoration on both sides. The condition is good, one small area about 1" long old separation in the natural Kiri wood.

Pair of two Chinese hardwood chairs with burl wood inserts, simple and elegantly designed. The chair backs have a carved wooden panel with an interestingly beautiful woodgrain. Early 20th century Size: 34/5" height, 21.75" width, 18" depth

A well painted enamel on copper playing card box made in China circa 1900-1940, probably during the Republic period. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration...

Japanese traditional tribal robe worn by the Ainu people of Northern Japan. Hand woven out of fine strips of elm bark with wide strips of dark indigo cotton cloth with chain stitch embroidery. minor wear consistent with age.

The finish of Koro is very well made in detail as photos showing.
I believe it is Japanese Made. The condition of Foo Dog is excellent.
Dating from 1970’s. The weight of Foo Dog is 1 pound 1 oz (0.453 Kg).

Kokeshi, wooden folk toy of NE Japan. Height: 8.25". This is an example of "Kijiyama-kei" tradition of Akita Prefecture. The artisan was Abe Heishirou. Moderntone was produced by Hazel Atlas Glass from 1934 - 42. Offered here is the custard cup in amethyst. (Hazel Atlas called this color 'burgundy' when it was originally made, but it's a rich amethyst color.) Very good condition, there is slight inner rim roughness along the mold line - typical for this piece as they were stacked and the inner lip is sharp. I have 2 available, price is per custard. This porcelain demitasse cup, saucer and plate was produced in German by Meissen between 1924 and the 1930s. The plate measures 6 1/4 inches in diameter and the saucer is 4 1/4 inches in diameter and 1 inch deep. The cup is 2 inches high with a diameter of 2 1/2 inches. The cup has the traditional pointed edges on the rim and a twisted branch handle. Each piece has sprays of hand painted flowers. They are realistic and very colorful...

Late Meiji to early Taisho (1920s) Japanese Kutani porcelain obidome (sash ornament) with enamel decoration of various flowers. Obidome is worn on an obi cord that holds the obi sash together, it is the only type of jewelry worn by Japanese women on formal occasions, and could serve as netsuke as well. Nice design, good quality painting with gold and other enamels, bar on the back for an obi cord, pleasant patina. Marked on the back bar with 2 characters reading KUTANI. Length 1.7 inches.
