American Midcentury Modern sterling silver compote. Round bowl with wide and flat rim and domed foot. Support in form of four cast vertical acanthus leaves. A stylish Danish-influenced design by an unknown maker. Marked “Sterling” with initials RF in chamfered rectangles. Very good condition.

Vintage Japanese Showa period ink and color on paper scrolled painting of trees by Uda Tekison (1896-1980). The black ink signature and red artist’s “Tazen” seal are at the lower right. Chinese wooden Rice Cake Mold with Lotus Seed design, Ca. 1930, 9 1/2" long, 3 3/4" wide-widest part, hand saw mark, the condition is used old worn out and patina on wood.

Kashigata (wooden sweet mold,) kanji characters "Daiou" (Great) motif; Japan, early 20th C. 2-piece Paddle-type mold to make 5 sweets. L.16.75"(42.5cm) x W.2.375"(6cm) x H.1"(2.5cm.) "Daiou" could be symbolic of any type of "greatness," but was most likely a reference to the country during the Japanese Imperial era. Sweet molds, “kashigata,” have been a part of confectionary culture around the world. Well-known examples in Asia come from Japan, China, Korea, and Indonesia...

A spectacular Murano glass epergne, made probably by Archimede Seguso, around 1950. The epergne is 12 1/4 inches (31 cm) tall, with a bottom width of 9 inches (23 cm) and a top-width of 4 1/2 inches (12 cm). In fine condition. Unsigned, as expected.

Description: A Shi-Wan figure with the subject of "Drunken Li-Bai" was vividly molded and sculpted. Fell asleep in contended expression, we could almost hear the snoring sound. Friendship hand made quilt with each 7" by 7" square embroidered with a different name in various letterings, Pennsylvania, c.1930's. Trimmed with 1" blue border, there are 72 names in total and the quilt measures 73" by 64". Quilt is thick and heavy and in excellent condition. Very unusual.....$75 for insured USA shipping.
