A 9 inch tall Wisteria goblet identified as Steuben shape 7182. The unsigned goblet is pictured in the online shape gallery on the Frederick Carder Steuben Club. This goblet has an engraved mark on the edge of the polished pontil that reads “F. D.” The initials are engraved in reverse so that when seen through the foot they read correctly. Per the Carder Steuben Club shape gallery the pattern on the goblet is “unknown.”

Circa 1960's-70's, this Matl jeweled cross produced by Ricardo sits on a pedestal and is a hand-wrought work of art. Ricardo Salas worked with his aunt, Matilde Poulat. After her death in 1960 he continued producing her designs, as well as his own. After 1980, Matl Salas pieces were also marked with MS-12. This cross pre-dates that mark. This is a magnificent and highly detailed cross, with pyramidal amethysts, turquoise and coral cabochons, tiny silver beading, and a coral branch...

Four and half inches in height and Seven inches in length, it bears two famous lines composed by an ancient Chinese poet on the Buddhist tea ceremony. The teapot is exceptional in both its design and workmanship (A tiny chip on the inner mouth-rim).

Two small vessels by well known American studio potter Tom Turner (currently living and working in North Carolina.) These two pieces are tenmoku glazed and are hand thrown in porcelain (Tom Turner is acknowledged as an American master in this medium). Both are signed by the artist. In excellent condition.

Rare statue of a sitting female protector, her hands in praying posture. Eroded wood, fine patina. Nepal, mid 20th C. Height: 34 cm. Very good condition. NOTE: collected in 1974 by its former owner.

Gold and silver steel cigarette case. Work in the style of Komei. The landscape decorations are in gold and silver relief. Examination with a magnifying glass does not show us the typical scratches of a damascene work (nunome zogan). The borders are worked with floral motifs in slight relief, the hollows being filled with black lacquer. two golden metal chains to hold the cigarettes. These two chains are extendable by a clever spring system hidden in each link...

A rarely encountered large limited-edition Japanese woodblock print by Canadian artist Ted Colyer (b. 1947) depicting a forest of trees at sundown titled “Dusk” dated '80. The bottom margin is titled, dated, numbered 8/100 and signed in pencil. Visible paper size: 16 3/4” x 25.” Framed in the original Kanda Gallery frame. Frame size: 22 3/4" x 32." The print is visibly in very good overall condition. Margins are evident...

A beautiful sterling silver beaker cup, measuring 3.25” x 2.75” made in the 1960s. QUILLEN ESTATE

Chinese Shiwan (Shekwan) pottery model of a Daoist Immortal, holding a fan and seated on a large gourd. The figure resembles Li Tieguai, who ordinarily is depicted with his staff and often carrying a gourd which was believed to contain medicine powerful enough to revive the dead. The figure holds a fan, the main attribute of the immortal Zhongli Quan (Han Zhongli). The fan is believed to have the power to revive the dead. Perhaps the figure is an amalgam of the two immortals...

This stylized conch is documented in several publications, including Leslie Pinas' ITALIAN GLASS, PG 146, valued at $800-$1000 and Helmut Ricke & Eva Schmitts' ITALIAN GLASS. This modern expression of the conch shell exemplifies that even as the Murano glass designers were being influenced by the Modernist movement, life and elements from the Venetian Lagoon continued to serve as an inspiration for artists. Measuring 6.5"w x 3.5" x 5.5"h, the Conchiglie is in good condition, unmarked.

In the mid-1930s, Venini engaged Carlo Scarpa to design innovative glass surface textures and this historical gem, "A BOLLICINE", survives in excellent condition! The base is polished and has 2 acid stamps: "venini murano" and "MADE IN ITALY", measuring 2" H, 3 3/4" W, 3 3/4"D. See CARLO SCARPA, Glass of an Architect by Mario Barovier, P. 206

Helmet mask of Janus shape, showing two busts surmounted by fierce looking faces, each one very different from the other one. The mask is made of wood covered with animal skin, with a rattan base allowing fixation to the top of the dancer's head. Beautiful dark brown glossy patina. Africa, Nigeria, Ekoi ethnic group. A set of six sterling silver coffee spoons by Asprey & Co. Each spoon has a brownish-black bakelite “coffee bean”—a decorative device popular in England during the Art Deco period. The bottle is shown as shape 1988 in the Steuben factory line drawings and is 7 3/4 inches tall with the stopper. There is a polished pontil mark but the bottle is unsigned as was normal on most Verre de Soie items.
