This beautiful contemporary Ningyo is by an important artist, Nishikitsuka Moeharu. His Kimikomi style of work has been exhibited in many galleries and museums, including the Homma Museum in Japan. She is holding peach sprays. Carved of wood with applied silks brocades. She has a sensitively rendered face with carved lacquered hair adorned with a gold hair ornament. 9 inches (23cm) high. Tall Chinese hardwood cabinet in two sections, elaborately carved all over with scenes of eight dragons in light color wood on dark hardwood ground carved with swirling clouds, rocks and waves. The sides of the cabinet are also made of dark hardwood and carved with scrolling key fret motif. Brass hardware is incised with matching key fret and chimera designs. c. 1950.

A beautiful 8-glass cordial set in a velvet box, made by Moser. The cordial heights vary between 2 inches to 3 1/4 inches (5 cm to 8,25 cm). The box is 12 inches by 8 1/2 inches by 2 3/4 inches (30 cm X 22 cm X 7 cm). Four of the glasses are in gold cameo. All glasses are marked, 'Moser' and are in fine condition. The set was probably in a museum's collection and carries the museum's ascension number (see last picture).

Chinese Scholar’s two-tier solid rosewood stand with carved boxwood edges. Produced in the 1950s, this is actually a copy of a 17th - early 18th century style that was made of zitan and edged in boxwood. A strong stand that will hold your heaviest object, the pieces were machine made with rough carvings, hand assembled (pegged and glued), and then hand finished and polished. In excellent condition, the stand measures 12” long x 7.25" wide x 4” high.
